I don't understand the majority of people's mindsets when playing urf

Almost every one of my games is full of people who constantly push towers and try to take the nexus. Like I understand that's the point of the normal game mode, but why are people so prone to trying so hard to win when it's a game mode that's about playing ridiculous champions with extremely exaggerated capabilities?
