Or you just get shit on if they all in you and its pre 6 or walking out doesn't take all that much effort. Also the missile speed combined with thin ass hitbox makes it hilariously easy to dodge near max range

The hitbox isn't that thin. It's definitely thicker than Lee Sin's Q. But once you do hit it, it's pretty awful to play against. When was the last time you played against a good Illaoi? I'm not saying that she's strong, and you're definitely right about there being much better champs than her. But she's annoying as heck to play against in lane.
