Most of the problem with AD assassins is this

SHADOW ASSASSIN: Kayn deals 12% − 44% (based on level) of post-mitigation damage dealt against enemy champions as bonus magic damage, lasting for 3 seconds upon entering in combat with an enemy champion, refreshing after 8 seconds out-of-combat with them or by using Umbral Trespass Umbral Trespass.

INNATE: Zed's basic attacks against targets below 50% maximum health deal 6 / 8 / 10% of target's maximum health as Ability power bonus magic damage.

ACTIVE: Yasuo Dash dashes a fixed distance toward a target enemy, dealing Ability power magic damage. (Yasuo just for fun)

ACTIVE: After a 0.75-second delay, Pyke strikes in an X-shaped area, executing enemy Champion icon champions below 250 − 550 (based on level) (+ 80% bonus AD) (+ 1.5 per 1 Lethality) health while dealing the same amount as physical damage to enemies not within the threshold for execution.

You build armor against Lethality users however it is still unaffected by bonus magic damage or true damage (Pyke).

Actually...because Kayn's is post-mitigation damage...building armor actually helps. In fact, if the damage was physical he'd likely do more.

10% of your maximum health (7% maximum after MR) is very little and has almost nothing to do with Zed's damage output.

Yasuo E is a joke right? So I won't go over that?

Odd that you chose Shadow Kayn and Zed to complain about though, when both of them aren't even remotely strong.

Really because both Zed and Kayn can one shot squishies and get away without a scratch.

You're welcome to fake anecdotal evidence if you'd like, but the fact is that neither of these champions are strong, and the reasons you've listed aren't contributors to their success, (Which they don't have anyway, because as I said, they're both weak right now).

Wait.

If Kayn's Passive is post-mitigation...

...how the hell does it even help him that it converts it into Magic damage?

It doesn't. If he did extra physical damage instead it'd actually help him more.

It's useful against tanks who rush one armor item in the mid game, but asides from that...It's actually a bad thing.
