I'm so sick of people comparing Zoe's capabilities to assassins.

It's absurd how many people keep making this idiotic apples-to-oranges comparison. Zoe and assassins do completely different things. Take Zed vs Zoe, for instance.

One is a good laner who gets to spam free harass in lane all day without worrying about any sort of resource, has easy-mode CSing and waveclear, incredibly deadly roams, steals their opponents' power, can easily get into a team fight, appear for half a second, get out, and watch someone die while helpless to do anything but watch their impending death 2 seconds later, and makes you wish that QSS never got its complete debuff cleansing removed.

The other is an edgy ninja boy pulled from a Saturday morning cartoon who fights turtles for a living.
