Braum's Darkest Moment

Last night I was enjoying a Team Builder game as our favorite mustached man Braum. I was carrying my puny team as usual with my large muscles and even larger and more magnificent mustache. Later into the game, my mid laner (Anivia) walked into a bush in the enemy jungle and began to recall due to her health being at about half. I walked into the other side of the bush and stood next to her in order to recall near her and protect her if needs be. Little did I know, there was a teemo mushroom planted right next to where she was recalling...unfortunately I stood right on top of it causing it to explode, stopping her recall and lowering her health to about 25%. I offered a humble and awkward, "Uhhh...sorry!". Her response, "You should be." She and I both then proceeded to recall once again. The mood was tense and all would have ended well...if it weren't for the deathly pillars of light that descended over our heads. I hardly had time to exclaim in horror as I watched Anivia get blown up by Karthus' morbid rage. As the dark magic cleared, I once again I began my recall, now standing alone next to the lifeless form of my once beautiful birdy. I sheepishly said to her, "I...just killed you...I'm sorry." Her response from the grave? "Yes. Yes you did."

Braum was never the same after that moment. All the fluffy poros in the world could not remove the burden of guilt he felt at causing the loss of a most beautiful creature and fellow inhabitant of the Freljord.

Did we go back in time? Which season is this?

any of them? The spear is an inherent design problem by rewarding greater safety with greater damage.

SoMNia2 votes

Not really. There are three options. Two are not favorable. Either the spear is easily dodged and does no damage because it doesn't hit, and she runs out of mana by spamming it hoping to get lucky, or it does crap damage at point blank, and she gets stepped on because she's squishy.

The third scenario, what it rewards, is skillful positioning and prediction to actually land the shot from an unlikely range, in spite of obstacles and long travel time. You don't get rewarded for keeping your distance. You get rewarded for maintaining vision control and flanking your opponents. If you just walk up to a teamfight from the front and start throwing spears at max range, you're not going to accomplish anything but wasting mana. If it were a point and click ability, you might have a point, but it's not. It's a skillshot, and a very narrow collision skillshot with no passthrough at that.

It's not like you knew there was a teemo shroom there. She should be thanking you for not only being friendly by saying sorry twice, but also for trying to bodyblock for her in the first place. I thought Anivia mains were nicer ;_;

beautiful story, I could see this becoming a lore thing with a little more effort and some braum first person story telling.
