Wuju Rammus: Rammus Gameplay
Intro I've been struggling playing Rammus as a full-on tank because of recent updates. So I've adapted my Rammus gameplay into something like an assassin: quick engages and stalking 1v1 encounters. I used to smash into a whole team and grind down my opponents, but I'm finding this strategy difficult. So here's how I play Rammus now:
Runes Primary: Resolve
- Grasp of the Undying (people recommend I switch for Aftershock)
- Demolish
- Conditioning
- Overgrowth
Secondary: Precision
- Alacrity
- Last Stand

- Start Q for mobility and early map coverage, Max W first. Max E second for the Attack Speed. This ignores his Q, which is Rammus' engage, so this kit requires an assassin-type of gameplay.

TLDR/ Breakdown Basically, Rammus' W makes him perfect for 1v1 close combat exchanges. When W is active Rammus gains a massive bonus to Armor, and his basic attacks gain damage from his current armor. The principle is to utilize this bonus damage by increasing Rammus' Attack Speed and make him aggressive in short deadly exchanges. Phantom Dancer is essential due to its Unique Passives: increasing Rammus' MS toward enemies helps his engage- and the 12% mitigation helps secure his 1v1 advantage. Thornmail is essential due to the Armor bonus and the compliment to W. I prefer Challenging Smite because it helps the 1v1 exchanges, and Bloodrazor enchantment adds to the dps carnage.
