Theoretical: Top lane bruiser Aurelion Sol. Thoughts?

Haven't tried it yet, but it works in my head and would like opinions on items/runes/masteries and a final verdict on whether or not this has any chance of working.

To me, Aurelion seems to scale rather slowly everywhere, only hitting his first major power spike after roa and rylais. The obtaining of these items is impeded by mid lane bullies or mages with a crap load of range.

Up top. Theoretically I can avoid long range and kite most bullies like darius and GP. Only issue is potentially a gnar as he scales faster or someone like irelia/olaf.

Items: Purpose ROA: Does this need an explanation? Rylais: See above. Abyssal: MR, CDR, MR shred. Frozen Heart: Armour, atk speed slow aura, mana, CDR Liandries: HP, Mpen, tank shred

Runes: Purpose Mpen reds: logical choice. Hp/lvl seals: If I vs an enemy where I'd need armour.... I'm probs screwed anyway. So may as well go for the long haul. Flat mr glyph: In case of a teemo or vlad. Move speed quints: get to lane quicker, more roaming potential, better kite potential.

Masteries: 18/0/12 Dft, 0/18/12 storm raiders or 12/0/18 grasp of undying. Thinking 12/0/18 for safer bullyng of melee champs and sustain. Thoughts? And constructive criticism is welcome. [slayer-jinx-catface]

RoA => Rylais. After that. Deadman's? That should give you a lot of speed to reposition more easily.
Spirit visage as fourth probably.

Don't go Liandries, it's not a very good item-- it exists as a release valve for a HP stacking meta that doesn't exist atm. I think Abyssal's aura range is too short for him to make much out of so I wouldn't go that either.

Runes: I'd go for Armour (either flat or scaling). They scale better than flat HP especially if you are buying a lot of HP and not much armour. Depending on the matchup scaling MR might be better too.

Masteries. I can see all three paths being possible. Deathfire is very good on him, much like Swain. Thunder lords would help win lane. I imagine you'd be unlikely to proc storm raiders often as a bruiser. Grasp of the Undying is always a nice sustain choice in lane too.

Don't see how that is even vaguely useful [slayer-jinx-unamused]

If you have a building path for items I'd gladly try it.

Send you a replay in LSI if you have one.

IMO, the first 2 are rather obvious; Roa 1st to stack it quicker then rylais. After that the aura item that's most compatible with the lane you're dealing with If you're fed grab liandries, if not the other aura item W/E item you didn't buy And grab swifties some time through there. From what I've seen boot timings come down to personal preference
