questions about new runnans (mainly for riot but feel free to answer other players aswell)

my questions are for any champion that would generally use runnans hurricane and about the item itself

IE: Teemo Kalista Twitch

  1. what do you mean when the combine cost is increased but the total gold cost remains the same?
  2. Do the bolts also have the added +10 dmg on hit+ on hit effects (IE teemos posion) or is it just the +10 now?
  3. does the bolt physical damage also work with the mastery that deals some of your AD/AP as magic damage? if you build ap into your build or just AD?
  4. Any future plans to add more bolts or have them do more damage or less? or do you think they are fine as is

I think combine cost actually decreased. item 3085 = item 1043 + item 1042 + item 1042 Recurve bow used to cost 900, but now it costs 1100. The combine cost is the cost of item when you have all its components. Since the total cost remains the same, the combine cost should have decreased.

Bolts apply all on-hit effects. There are rare exceptions like Vayne's Silver Bolts (which only works on single target, making it impossible to proc if it worked with Runaan's), but otherwise it applies all on-hit effects. The bolts apply 10 additional damage compared to before, but that's pretty much negligible since if you're building Runaan's, you probably have better on-hit effects anyway. Champions that used to build Runaan's will still build Runaan's, and champions that didn't will still not build Runaan's.

I think you're talking about Arcane Blade, which converts 5% of AP as magic on-hit damage. That on-hit damage will also be applied by Runaan's bolts.

I don't think they're planning to change Runaan's. It's in a pretty healthy shape. It can be abused by the PBE Ashe (with her Q active, she shoots 10 bolts with each autoattack), but it's probably gonna be changed by the time it gets to live server.

The 10 damage is not negligible since it as first item for Kalista means that she deals a lot more damage than before early on when that 10 damage is very significant. It doesn't do much for any other champions though since they probably don't get Runaan's until 10 isn't that much.

They mean total cost remains the same as in the recurve costs 200 more but the combine cost is 200 less so that the price to buy Runaan's from scratch did not change.

Runaan's used to have 70% attackspeed and the bolts, which deal 50% of your AD, apply on hit effects, and have 10 base damage.

New Runaan's is literally the exact same, except it's total cost increased and the 10 damage moved to an on-hit effect. Basically, the only thing changed was the build path and that your main attacks now do +10 damage.
