If wukong knows wuju style...

Why doesn't he have true damage? (Just asking not a buff question) master yi knows the same Art yet gets true damage. Since that style consists of aiming at vital points thus causing true damage. If wukong is his student it should exist somewhere. All I can think of similar techniques wukong E looks like a amateur ( Apprentice version) version of alpha strike and a mini yi ult (E afterward attack speed) I'm pretty sure W and ult are unique due to fighting differences. Again it's not a buff this champ question it's a consistency of style of fighting question. The wukong Q it's isn't to damage their armor (realistically speaking ofc) it looks like a head bonk which means it's supposed stunish that person to reduce awareness therefore reduces defenses.

this reasoning is silly. lore and gameplay balance have nothing to do with each other.

it kinda does since lore gives a foundation of what possible attacks a champion can have due to their background. if we dont have some sort of background/gameplay relation its gonna be like zed using jinx Q rockets/using teemo shrooms with also a shadow that copies those yet being called a ninja (a loud ninja but still a ninja). the lore gives some kinda identity of what their job/title is.

it gives a basic outline for their kit. it doesn't determine their balance. wukong does not need true damage.

never said he 'needed' (to be precise) a buff or a true damage addition change, its a lore/gameplay thing related to wuju style.

Yasuo windwall toxic shit that people hate made due to lore, so what is your point ?

windwall isn't that way due to lore lmao.

Probably uses different techniques between a stick and a sword. Sword you can slip through openings in armor. Not so easy with a stick.

Or something like that. Idk.

all i can think of the ip man scene where he turns "that one guy" into a training dummy just saying since thats the best example of vital points i can envision (granted its a hand to hand scene but its the best vision i can see using a blunt weapon).

Yeah. But that'd also be vastly different from using a sword.

Wuju might make it easier to undercut defenses (crushing blow gave armor shred, Yi's active E gives true damage), but there's going to be a fundamental difference between using a bladed and a blunt weapon in function - The staff crushes defenses or dazes the opponent to make it easier to land attacks that ignore armor or otherwise lowers their defense (comparing to the video, that's pretty similar - He kept hitting the guy and he was too dazed to actually fight back), while the sword is used in some way that allows him to physically bypass the armor.

Unfortunately with only two champions that use Wuju style, it's somewhat difficult to make an accurate conclusion.

exactly what im thinking. bladed allows to bypass defenses due to theres always a "hole" in someones armor if you look close enough. while wukong looks like hes mainly looking to reduce someones awareness to fight back therefore causes a armor drop since a dazed target cant really block well. i wish they explained (for funzies ofc) of how wuju style works.

Because he's a dumb animal and can't get it right, so he just gets armor reduction.
