Does Aatrox carry in Solo Q?
Or is he pretty much still only good in organized play?

Of course a single game isn't a sufficient sample size, but I recently had an Aatrox in a game who got a pentakill completely on his own. And not just by fighting a series of 1v1s, no, it was a glorious 1v5 all-in massacre. (He was obviously super fed though.)
Kinda. Riven still plays god with soloq, and these changes don't help him stop her one bit. But hey, lets just nerf her cooldowns when what should be done is nerfing her already overtuned damage that has been the source of the problem ever since she's been top tier.
You can ban her and your problem is solved. Anyway i think Aatrox is good now but still not able to carry two losing lanes unless the enemy team is bad and not using their lead.

Riven isn't even his worst counter.
I would argue that
are his worst match ups. They are simply too high mobility and DPS for Aatrox to react much less trade.
Yeah, i understand that, everything is true.
I just said ban Riven because the guy made a post focused on her... saying she is like the queen of top lane (even tho there are better top laners right now).
Anyway, Aatrox can still outplay them. I just think that if you want to carry a game as Aatrox it won't be easy.
Banning her is a waste of a ban. You legit will never know when a person is a riven main or not until you are in game. Thats the issue.
I mean... Op made a thread about Aatrox and your answer was basically all about Riven... And Riven is still a decent ban in plat+ games, i agree there are better bans but still not a waste if you ban her.
Im just saying is Aatrox is okay, but Riven still can put him 7 feet under with these changes. He can't really carry if he cant even stop a "carry" champ like Riven or Jax, especially Jax. You buy a healing reduction item, and he becomes less durable. You buy it for someone like Jax and Riven, and they shrug it off like its nothing.
What is with leaving these ancient ass fighters with their damage intact on top of the amount of mobility and cdr accessibility in the game? You either have mobility fighters (a perfect example of that would be Fiora), or burst fighters (GP would fit the bill even if he has mobility via passive). Being able to accel at both creates a situation like Riven's or pre-mini rework Irelia.
I think the champions are just fine, it's just the stupid amount of items that fit them perfectly Riot put in the game plus conqueror. They just drain tank everything and what they can't tank they shield (Riven) or dodge (Jax). And on top of that they don't sacrifice any CDR which is why those champs are shining right now. They get 2 items and basically have all they need already. That means they have more slots to buy items to "counter" the enemy team. Meanwhile most of the other champs have more core items they can't sacrifice, so they end up having more weaknesses.
Conq's the least of my issues. The amount of cdr in the game on top of the cdr buffs (mainly Jax) allows them to fully counter their own weaknesses. So if they won't reduce cdr on items, then they need to introduce new weaknesses to them.
Conqueror is a problem too, because Jax with conqueror plus ravenous can heal like a beast. Do you remember when he used to go Botrk King after trinity? He needed that for some sustain and extra chase potential. Now he bascially gets the lifesteal from runes and cdr from shojin.
He can carry hard in solo q check my match history dog
