That's because ranged adc's are pretty useless without 6 items and the support is probably focusing the correct carry, like the mid, top, or jungle.

(literally anything but the whiny entitled "adc")

To quote one of the challenger players

"The top players and their positions in solo queue don't really matter."

thats because if youre not youre gimping your team by playing some sort of ranged super minion.
