Am I the only one that actually hates Aftershock

I understand right now the damage runes are a very big problem. But I seriously hate that at level 1 aftershock gives 70 armor and MR and damage for hitting a CC. Its stupid and I don't see a way this can ever be balanced if tanks are ever made viable and in the early game it might as well cause you to be doing 0 damage to someone with the effect up. Late game it would make more sense but at level 1???

IDK the new runes for the most part are all really poorly designed, but I everytime I remember aftershocks stats I question how the hell the game can ever be balanced with defense like that available to anyone with CC.

they have to hit the cc and then stand there for the burst to do damage and it has a 35 sec cd

I hate taking it.

You don't get to decide when you get it really, resistances are some of the most inconsistently effective stats in the game, and, because it's triggered by cc, the already pathetic duration gets partially eaten up by whatever cc you use, making it anti-synergistic with itself.

But it's the only keystone that actually makes you meaningfully tankier, so there aren't a lot of options.

I pick it on squishy ranged mages because most Sorcery runes are trash

The balancing factor to it is the cooldown.

Like, I'm pretty sure it averages out to 2 or 3 MR over the cooldown in lane. That's what balances it out - a shitton of armor and MR at once, but on a long-ass cooldown.
