It was a core item in his build, but now the item is so bad that he is better off not building it. Now you are pretty much shoehorned into tear/RoA and lose a lot of control you previously had in teamfights, not to mention killing power in 1v1s. It would be nice if either the multiple Karthus W nerfs were reverted or he had a microslow added to his Q.

Ah you're right it is, I usually use that build even before the 
changes, only because I felt that build was just stronger and I generally play Suicide Karthus instead of Initiate-Clean up Karthus like most people did with lol.
