Anyone else sick of seeing Yasuo every single game?

Yes its another Yasuo thread, but really, this is getting out of hand. Today I played 10 games and had a total of 9 or 10 Yasuos in them. And that lasts for months now. I am not saying I have huge problems because of gameplay itself (though he is the most toxic and obnoxious champion, also its my opinion that he is a little bit op atm), its just ruining my experience. The one thing that makes League so fun is that there are so many different things that can happen every game, it makes it fun and exciting even after 7 years of playing, I am still having fun. But last few months I am seeing Yasuo in at least 90% of my games (I play mostly normal games) and I am getting sick of it. Its just boring plain and simple. If this continues, maybe I should quit the league untill champs with no cooldown and resource get removed, or others become like them so that all the kids can have fun in urflol dashing around the map like crazy and spamming without a care in the world, because its "fun". Sometimes I wish they nerfed him extremely hard just so that I can have any other goddamn lane opponent, I cant remember the last time I played vs mage mid lane or tank top. Butthurt and bored to hell season 2 nostalgic person ends his rant here. What do you guys think?

I don't see yasuo every single game? Really, this thread is pretty pointless.

I'm not saying just because I don't see yas that means it's pointless, I'm saying this thread doesn't try to change anything.

I see him 4/5 games as well one side or the other. And I some what agree with OP. Yas is not popular just because he's "fun", he's popular because he has an overloaded, resource-less kit,, that lets him work around any opponent, and because of kids living their E-l33t Ninj4 fantasies...

as it stands he's one of Rito's golden boys whos not allowed to be anything short of great... If this game were truly concerned with balance nothing like him would exist!

Just because you don't face Yasuo doesn't mean this thread is pointless. Over in EUW I literally can't play a game a day without the obligatory Yasuo matchup, not only does it piss me off but last year Ekko and Yasuo being played 99.9% of the time made me quit playing my favourite champion Nasus altogether.

It's worse in Top, the champions either win well against others or they don't and that can change at the flip of a switch due to patch changes.

Yeah, but it doesn't change how aggravating it is for him to be able to engage whenever he feels like it (protip his passive tells him when it is okay to trade). He's a great deal different to a lot of champions and I'd rather not put up with his shit with a champion that is asking to get jumped on.

I usually find myself running out of mana a lot against him, and when that QSS gets purchased oh boi

QSS should only remove your W slow, not the attack speed slow. Also I lot of champions can engage whenever they want so idk what you mean by that

Except he can do it with basically no cooldown, you know when you're against someone like Irelia she has an amazing gapcloser move but when she uses it there's a cooldown? Yeah, Yasuo doesn't have that period, he can duke it out with someone and if it was favorable there's often a situation where he can jump back in immediately after. Add in his damage ability having extremely high uptime and you have someone who just doesn't quit.

Good to know about that new QSS interaction, though.

Irelia also has a 2.5 second(?) stun. Your point is? Not to mention irelia can just q back into a low health minion when favorable.

Except Irelia's stun actually has a cooldown. Did you even read my post? Yasuo's ability uptime is insanely high and that's something I just don't want to put up with every game.

It's an 8 second cooldown (I believe) which is low enough to kill you in two go's. Also I could argue that mages ability with their burst damage could rival his damage easily (lux and others) and ADC's rival his damage at a range.

Yasuo absolutely shits on nasus in laning phase. If he goes for ignite expect to not be able to farm for half the laning phase. Sure nasus turns into a beast and will two shot yasuo from there if you can play passive but one kill on yasuo and you are done for good until if you have ice fist/frozen heart/randuins.

You have to keep in mind that nasus is a champion who naturally gets lane bullied and Yasuo is extremely good pre 6. (Post 2) they both do scale but nasus scales a lot harder and post 6 can and will just completely dominate Yasuo with his Ult versus Yasuo's now changed Ult which only grants him armor pen with crits

Why would you ever want to play blind pick. You would never improve. You lose out on learning how to counter pick, and actual team synergy. Let alone learning what the enemy team is preparing to fight you with, such as a poke comp etc.

  1. Blind pick exists also in draft, it's called first pick.
  2. Blind pick is the normal gamemode, for normal mentality. This is a game, not a sport.

I rarely see yasuo but he is my ban when I get a ban. But even when I don't get to ban him, i don't see him every time that happens.

Yeah but I mostly play normals, especially on this new acc where I have ~15 champs that I actually play. In normals you will see him 7-10/10 games, believe me. I cant wait for season 7 with 1 ban per person so that I can switch to ranked only and never see him again.

Honestly I'm sick of seeing Yasuo on Youtube when I look up pro plays and or outplays. Sorry guys, mashing E until a Malphite ults 5 of the enemy team so you can then mash R, is not even close to a pro play.

Yasuo has the most champion "outplays" on Youtube of all champions. I wonder why.

That's how i feel about the Zed montages. 90% of all Zed montages he is a level 17 Zed against level 12 (supp) to maximum lvl 15 enemies going in 1v5 "WOW SO LCS MUCH OUTPLAY ME FAKER". Instead of nice plays against equal opponents in laning phase or teamfights. Even in korean montages you have the same shit where they brag about these "outplays".

I think he is more commonly seen in lower elo ?

And I too get tired of seeing him in most of my matches since it doesnt really add variety in the game. Not that he is OP or anything but its no fun when you see the same champ plenty of times in your games that it feels like the game is feeling washed out. But recently ive seen some people banning him i guess just for the sake of that reason. I guess if you dont want to see him in future games, just ban him.

Thing is, he's a pretty popular champion due to the flashy nature of his kit, making him played in every 6.75 games. Statistically, he isnt even the most played champion, he barely even breaks into the top ten. According to Lolking, he has a popularity rate of 15.5%, and the ten champions above him areCaitlyn Jhin Morgana LeeSin Ezreal Vayne Jinx Thresh . Statistically, if we're talking about overplayed champions, both Lucian and Thresh are seen in over 25% of matches, so if you want to complain about diversity, dont look at Yasuo.

Why did 2% of people manage to read in my post that I mostly play normals blind pick because this is my new acc, in blind pick Yasuo has by far the biggest pick rate, for me its more than 75% :S

Yasuo is by far the most played champion in blind pick or at least very close to the top because I see him so god damn often.

I'm shit with Yasuo, only played him like 3 times in PvP and I got two quadras with him second game. I played dozens of games on Cassiopeia and could still barely make a dent with her. Yasuo has a high skill ceiling yes, but his skill floor is considerably lower than Cass's. Anyone can pick up Yas and get the basics down and get shit done by the 3rd game with him. But it would take a lot more effort to be just as effective with Cass.

this happens to me, you always seem to be a god at a champ, buy them, and start doing shit LOL as for your second point, yasuo has a decent skill floor and hello? maybe pre cass skill floor was way higher but now, its really not, ur e is too spammable, however it rewards good players for actually being good and doing exceptional damage. yasuo takes as much effort as cass, both have their own micro play, yasuos centered around mobility and consistent dmg, cassio, immboile walking tnak of dmg, dont compare the two lol

What exactly is so hard with picking up cassio? Good range, you don'teven need to kite anymore since u just get MS boost thrown at you, self heal, mana sustain. They took all her skill so far. Just harass infinitely with E, throw a Q in between. That's laning phase. In teamfights, yes you need to position well but most likely you will snowball so hard out of laning phase you two shot anyone around you.

Her damage is unreliable. Without poison, her E does as much as an auto. Try landing her Q vs someone like Yasuo or Zed. It's fuckin painful as hell. And without her ult which by the way, has a long ass cooldown, she's screwed once you get in her face. Too many champions can get on her quite easily. Zed, Yas, Talon, Akali, Vi, Tryndamere.....and on and on. The only time I have an easy lane with her is against someone like Annie.

  2. for most people it seems he is really fun, but he is THE MOST UNFUN CHAMPION FOR OTHER 9 PLAYERS, which is what annoys me besides playing same lane every single goddamn game

  3. he is not op, maybe borderline, and he is not hard, average difficulty at best, its only hard to carry if you are playing with 4 boosted animals

I was tired of seeing yasuo in every game a few months ago. I already hate that champion (no cooldowns, no resource, free shield, AOE projectile shield) and now he is in every one of my games which sucks because he is obnoxious and I also do not enjoy every one of my games having the same champions in them.

Its really demoralizing that, for some reason, there are some champions that get out of hand and riot jumps on addressing them within a few days as a hot fix and then there are other champions that, even though they are overshadowing several other champions so they are the only ones that see play, riot will wait months and months before they do anything about it.

Did you even read my goddamn post? I hardly ever lose to Yasuo, I mean how could I when I played vs him 15000 times last month, a monkey would learn to play vs him. I AM BORED. I dont want to play vs same champion every goddamn game top or mid. It ruins the experience and excitiment. Every game is the same. Also Yasuo is obnoxious beyond belief, even the most fun matchup would get boring after 90% of the games last 2 months, imagine how fast I got bored from most toxic thing ever created. This is the reason why I've banned Lee Sin in normals last season. He wasn't OP. I didn't have problems playing against him. I wasn't annoyed by his mobility. I just was sick of seeing him in every single normal game I played.
