I am okay with him having crazy mobility and doges. It is his ultimate that is the problem with his kit.
I think it should just be scrapped. Give him a new ultimate with more counterplay.

Itemizing, build an item; Zonyas, QSS. Its not every champion in the game that you can buy an item to nullify one of their skills. If you are laning against a Zed, you itemize correctly, just like you would build MR against a strong AP laner.
Positioning, before and when he ults. *Position yourself so that it is unfavourable for him to ult you, e.g. underneath a tower. If you have some CC, the zed won't want to dive under the tower. When he ults, either CC him, or get away from him (Flash, dash, etc) *
Teammates, ganks Get a jungler to be ready on the side, then bait out the ult. Tell your jungler to camp the return shadow, so he must either follow all in, or run away. If you are positioned under the tower, it is likely his shadow will actually be under the tower anyway, an easy gank.
This counterplay is specific to his ultimate, as long as you are sensible, don't stay on lane low unless you have CC, and haven't fed him pre 6 you will be fine.
Contrary to popular belief, his ultimate doesn't do that much damage unless you let him get all of his abilities off. Move unpredictably once ulted to make it more difficult.

getting ulted by zed is the biggest horse shit moves in this game.
spending a large amount of gold just isn't a fair and fun way to counter someone
there is no safe positioning against zed... under my turret isnt safe enough
im in a solo lane against zed, my teammates are busy doing other stuff. My jungler came and zed shadowed away to safety.
he needs a new ult.
TomA3X2 votesIt doesn't just counter Zed, It counters Ignite, and every other debuff in the game. You should be pleased such items exist that hard counter him
Yes there is, if you won't admit that, thats why you're struggling against him.
His shadow is on an 18 second CD. If you can't ping so that your jungler can gank effectively, thats not Riot's fault, thats your bad.
Best advice i can offer, (even though you'll ignore it like you have the rest of my advice), play him yourself, you'll learn his strengths / weaknesses.

Better then a lot of aps out there except as an ad he also has the ability to burn down turrets and objectives in seconds where as ap mages and assassins dont usually ahve that.. Zed is just to good at everything with not enough weakness to justify it
UberAffe2 votesactually when you have high ap and low ad you start doing a percent of your ap as damage to turrets on your auto attacks, which is why the attack speed nerfs to zed were actually pretty good nerfs.

His ult gives you 3 seconds to deal with him before it pops.
That is more time than you get from nearly ANY other assassin in the game.
His ult places him RIGHT BEHIND YOU IN MELEE RANGE.
Early game, if you're low health, you should not be pushed out, you should be freezing at your turret range and pining for a gank.
If you have any form of CC, then you should be dropping it right in his face the moment he appears again.
If you have any form of ranged harass, you should put it to use and see to it he is also low health.
When he ults, CC him, burst him, kill him.
Or just do what I do, take exhaust, pretty much guaranteed the kill so long as you harass him down pre-6 and burst him soon as you both hit 6.
