I just picked Akali, expecting to be laned against Fizz. Enemy team counter picks me with Renekton, which is the worst match-up for Akali. Renekton comes to lane with wolf EXP, rushes three, and kills me with Eve. I teleport back to lane, and as soon as I go to CS literally a step away from the tower, the enemy Eve is there with a pink and kills me again.

I go back to lane, Renekton hits 6, I get dived from 100% with Eve, and my tower is gone. The game is now essentially over. I cannot enter my lane and I'm almost two levels behind. I go to farm mid while our Lux is roaming, then head back to top as it reaches the tower. Eve + Renekton dive me again, from 100%.

I now cannot enter any lane without dying; I've basically been removed from the game. This is fucking stupid and shouldn't be a thing. There is nothing I could have done in this match up, short of AFKing at the fountain.

Well, there is such a thing as getting help from your jungle. Or even from your mid-laner. It's a team game after all. And really, it's a totally viable strategy to target one member of a team and attempt to completely destroy their ability to carry. Akali is a good target for such a strategy for obvious reasons.
