Orianna QoL Change on Ult Please.
Orianna's ult should actually finish even if she dies. That's the only change I propose.

Orianna's ult works just like most other spells. If she dies between the start of the cast and the cast completing the spell doesn't go on CD nor does it take effect.
So it probably won't be changed? It's just upsetting that if you die mid ult cast it doesn't go off, even if it doesn't go on CD.

yeah, it's always upsetting whenever you misplay, that doesn't mean you should compensated for it for no reason.
so what youre saying is for example: if I ult as rengar and get killed before he stealths the ability shouldn't go on cd? just asking because now I'm curious as to who this mid cast no cd thing is available on/
Rengar ult's an insta cast spell where the spell goes on CD and starts taking effect immediately so this won't apply to it. Easy way to tell is that insta cast spells don't have a cast bar or stop your movement, spells with cast times do (e.g. Rengar E).

another way to tell is that you can usually cast other abilities without interrupting cast order (Like Sion W)

Lux's ult. Stops her movement, has a cast time, but is still considered an instant spell, and goes off no matter what unless she dies, even if she gets CCd.
Checkmate. ^^

Lux's ult isn't an instant spell, it's an instant AOE, there's a difference.
having a cast time automatically disqualifies it as being instant cast.
abilities like Sion W, Rengar E, Rengar ult, Kha'Zix ult, Shen W, etc are all instant cast becaues they have no cast time.
well to me logically ori has given the command to the ball and the ball is a separate entity to her, so even if ori dies while the ult is happening she already gave the command and the ball should be able to finish said command by itself. It seems like it should be an instant thing for her.
I don't follow sorry, in what ways is it considered an insta cast spell? It's not interruptible (apart from death) if that's what you mean, that's true of pretty much all spells that aren't channels though.

I think what they are thinking is that they think (sorry i keep saying think). her ult works like a projectile ult. ones with really low animation. you know like veigar ult etc. but the fact is her ult has longer animation. think like darius or garen ult. so if she dies in the cast animation her ult still works. lux ult works the same way.
so pretty much until her ult actually does damage if she dies the ult doesn't go off. sounds fine to me.
He means, Lux (and Ezreal, btw) has one of the longest cast time abilities, but it cannot be interrupted by anything, save her death.
Don't you think, that using such a long range spell in close-to-mid range a.k.a. inside other people's danger zones, should be punished?
If, say, Karthus would do that, he'd get insta CC'd and his ult wasted.
Checkmate to yourself actually, given that that's precisely the definition of a casting time. She stops, has to wait for the cast to complete, can't be interrupted by anything else than death, CD starts at end of delay. An instant spell is one with a casting time of 0, like Kata's E. The Rengar example just meant that post-cast delays don't count, as in the fact that Veigar's W and E, Swain's W, Cho's Q and others have both a casting time ( movement is stopped) and a post cast delay ( they can move around but the effect didn't start yet.
As for Lux, it's just a longass casting time, like Ezreal's ult. Ez x Lux confirmed.
... you just described a normal cast spell, and lux' s is indeed a normal cast spell. what are you checkmating?!
if it was an instant cast spell she would cast it immediately without waiot time... and it would be some kind of hell o_o if you are instead refering that it goes off even while stunned then it' s normal cast still, because normal casts can't be interrupted, only channels do. I got screwed over that a lot of time sbecause i was used to worlf of warcraft where you could interrupt spellcasts xD
Thats not quality of life, that's a straight up buff i'm so sick of people calling buffs QoL when they aren't.
By my knowledge, this is a QoL buff
A quality of life change that buffs that character.
If I remember correctly, quality of life changes are changes that affect a champion without changing numbers, so this would fall under that category, right?

No. Quality of Life improves a champion's ease of use or clarity without directly impacting gameplay
a Quality of Life change is like Diana getting an indicator on her buff/debuff bar how many stacks she has of her passive (1-2-enhanced) when she previously had none
Or, for instance, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mhzSdAlpA0 This,
The indicators are cleaned up to make it more easily identified, whereas previously they were harder to see and kind of vague in a clutter of particle effects.
I can understand why it's hard to understand, but it still annoys the shit out of me when people misuse it to make a an actual, straight buff just seem like no big deal and not effecting balance.
I'm completely open to the fact of being wrong, but you're the first person I've heard say that, so I might debate with you a bit.
I mean, would it not be a quality of life buff if say, Orianna used to have to stand still while casting q, then they changed it to having her be able to move while casting q?
It's something that affects gameplay, as the moment between standing still to cast an ability and moving can mean a lot, but it also better improves the ease of use.

Again, that's a straight up buff. QoL is never a buff except in the most indirect way, generally its just to help players keep track of everything a champion can do. Anything else is a buff or a nerf.
This is going to come off as... Well kinda rude but what makes your definition of Quality of Life... Right?
Because I've seen people on the old boards (Specifically when searching it up, this one http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=2608095 ) and I haven't really found a red post about it, so I dunno.
Then again, I'm the one debating in the first place, so I guess it's not my place to judge, but still :s
######Also sorry If I come across as ignorant or whatever this is just kinda bugging me for no real reason.

Because why would make such a distinction? they both end up being buffs, just different ways around it. QoL is not a buff, it's QoL. it doesn't influence the champion's standing as a meta pick and doesn't open up new strategies or mechanics to win trades or games.
You can do more with an ori than can move while Qing, You can do more with an ori that auto-completes her ult even when she dies.
You can't do more with a passive stacking indicator or Udyr's timing circle on bear stance, or Kha'Zix's bigger isolation indicator. it's there so the player knows what's going on more effectively.
Alright, thanks <3
No.I don't want new Lux ult.
