"I'm not going to abuse that champion because I don't want to ruin the game for others."

If you ever catch yourself saying something along those lines, I want you to remember a few things.

  1. Everything is fun to someone. There are people who unironically liked Sion. What makes you think that the people who play a specific champion are only meta slaves and skill-deficient players?

  2. Everything is aggravating to someone. Your non-meta obscure pick (looking at you Morde mains) might be the Kryptonite to a Fizz player. Imagine if your shitty champ was meta and people were calling you a mindless metaslave zombie.

  3. It's a game. Games are meant to be explored to their fullest. If you refuse to play certain champions or explore specific playstyles you are depriving yourself of an opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the game.

  4. At the end of the day, nobody worth caring about gives a shit about how you virtue signal. For example, if you've got a friend who talks down on you for getting to the same rank as him with a broken champion, then he's a shitty friend. If you do the same (including on this board), I've got news for you.

And if it makes you feel any better, I'm not perfect either. I hate Zoe and I think the people who one trick her are disgusting degenerates. That being said, I have a tournament coming up and I'm not going to lose because I let my pride and arrogance get in the way of me learning the game, getting better, and playing what's good. And, as much as I resent the players, I also don't fault anyone for doing the same.

It's a game. Do stuff that's fun for you, and if it isn't fun, don't do it.

Just don't act so smug and white-knighty over a video game.

I say this with extreme caution (because we know how a lot of people are) but I think most people are exempt from #3 and are responsible enough to play and understand a champion before deciding entirely if its broken or not.

I feel like this thread was written in attempt to share the OPs incensed feelings towards someone being 'condescending' after being yelled at for banning or not picking an ultra-strong champion.

Something that needs to be understood; If at any point a playerbase is saying this seriously because certain characters are really that powerful, there is an incredible situation at hand that needs to be fixed immediately. Irelia and Jax are two examples of champions who need immediate fixing, and riot simply refuses to fix them. Not that Irelia and Jax alone are the problem, bruiser itemization is a cancer that needs to be burned out; 300AD+triforce+40% CDR+2500~3000 health? Doesnt seem broken at all when the average tank gets 3000 health and 120 bonus armor/MR!

That’s just something ppl say to themselves and others while actually meaning: “I really don’t know how to make good of that champion/exploit so I will be virtue signaling in case someone else does”.

1)I used to believe what you said till the game got worse and worse. If you play any of the new champions their kit is more loaded than yours, thus putting them at an advantage. So it is true that when u play a certain pool of champions u have the advantage. Examples being Zoe, Neeko, Akali, Camille.

2)There is a difference between something aggravating someone and aggravating the majority. N O O N E likes zoe. i mean no one. No one likes when they can't play (example being again, akali's shroud), no one likes getting caught by someone who does even more dmg than you. A game needs trade offs and new champions don't have those trade off, thus making them more aggravating.

3)This is the stupidest shit I've heard. You can already have explored it and understand it, but also not like it. A good example is playing jax conquerer and not liking how now instead of just having ap & ad (which is hard enough to balancce as one on the same champ) he now has true dmg. ffs

4)I agree that they are a shit friend, but they aren't entirely wrong. When the adc nerfs came out I played Z O E FUCKING ADC and i won more than i did with adc. The game is built in a way (or was) to have a balance among the classes, and now it's gone. Not as in a class is missing, but that the other classes are to strong. ADC doesn't need buffs, everything needs nerfs.

To close out I agree league is 'just a game' but that isn't a good excuse. Football is just a sport, now that doesn't stop someones competitive drive, and it shouldn't. Now what I will say is if something makes you angry and bitter all the time, you probably should seperate from it, and it's exactly why I have quit league. The reason I check boards is because I was in love with this game for 5 years. I hit diamond in it and i still love it. Just not the current league. It is really sad, but one can hope.

IDK, I am kind of tired of playing "League of abuse the most broken champion/mechanic"

You see, I would agree with this, but shit like Heimer and Fiddle exist, who just ruin everyone's experience in any game they're in.
