Why isn't Elise seen and is she usable

It's been ages since I've seen .she used to be the go to jungler in lcs. She's also rewarding to learn assuming she's a good jg. That doesn't mean she is ATM. That just means if you master her when she is top tier, you will blow people the fuck up. Just get basic combo's and you good. Her biggest issue is she doesn't scale. She suddenly dissapeared never to be seen again. I see her like once every 50 games. I will sometimes play her for fun. That's what i do when I'm board of climbing. I jump inot a normal game and try shit out all though I haven't played her in ages. Anyways, why is the spiderwoman seen and is she a useable jg.

(These are just my guesses to why she isn't seen in higher ranks/competitive atm, I still play her myself because she'll always be one of my favorite junglers)

They nerfed her base AD (hurt her clears) and nerfed her W's base damage but buffed its scaling in an attempt to stop her from being a must-pick. Her E cooldown in spider form was reduced late game, which, while it didn't do much to stop her early pressure, it cut down on her safety overall late.

The E change I don't really feel like changed anything, but the W change is something I feel fucked her bruiser build (get Liandry's into tank, maybe Rylai's too). Rylai's 6.24 change basically ended its reign in Elise's primary build, and Liandry's Torment lost its magic pen, making it less attractive as a purchase (new Morello's isn't as useful to her as the %HP burn on Liandry's is).

I feel like she could definitely be the staple she once was, but with the above nerfs and the changes to two items she's loved in the past, there's just not much of a reason to pick her when most meta picks do her job better than she does. Hopefully the jungle changes in the midseason really do help her, but as long as there are champions that do her job better early game and late game, I doubt we'll be seeing her anytime soon.

Because typically tanks are being played in the jungle right now in professional play. At least every time i watch it, seems like its j4, zac, sejuani etc every game.. The idea is basically just to play around your ADC and mid laner in professional play. That being said, a lot of junglers that use to be top tier are just sub-par to the current jg pool.

Other than item 3152 , she suffers from a lack of access to CDR items, which are pretty much mandatory for going a tankier build. This essentially pigeonholes her into a glass cannon, 1-shot machine, where you either blow up your target, or get blown up.
