Support items, why so many faerie charms?
I don't see why mana regen is needed --> because this item is rarely rushed, and is probably only picked up. . at later levels meaning you won't have any mana issues. .
same reasoning applies here

Actually some supports do have mana issues in extended fights. Even late game.
Chalice/Crucible is actually the most commonly built item after people finish Sightstone and sometimes even built before Mobo boots. At that point, Chalice will be their only mana item.
I get it on a lot of supports that spam a lot. It's an incredibly useful item that any support with mana can buy while also coming with a great active to use to save your allies.
I rush chalice on pretty much any healing/poking support. Spam the heals, spam the damage. I tried tear sometimes with Sona but with extended seiges I always found myself running low on mana. Chalice basically lets you not worry about mana anymore.
It's the first back-buy for my support Velkoz too. LET THE POKE COMMENCE.
Supports typically get the most bank for their buck when they're allowed to be able to cast their powerful spells. More mana = more spells.
Even if you say "supports don't need that much regen!", I often find myself out of mana as a support as I am constantly helping my team via heals/cc/whatever I can do at the time, and I need mana to be effective.
