What are the times by which Nasus should have certain Stack sizes?

I've been picking Nasus back up the last few games, and keep missing Q stacks by slivers, and in general don't seem to be building them up very quickly. What are some good X stacks by Y gametime numbers to look for? 300 by 20 minutes is the generally preferred metric to aim for, no? So far I seem to be hitting 200 stacks or so at 20 minutes. Game I just finished I had about 450 stacks at the end of a 40 minute game, so I seem to be hitting about 10 stacks a minute or so. That feels slow to me, and I know part of it is because I'll go to grab one and flub it by a sliver of HP. Having to watch out for aggressive lane opponents hurts my stacking too.

Using flat AD reds and quints with flat armor yellows and flat mr blues, 12/0/18 Masteries, Grasp Keystone. I normally max Wither before Spirit Fire, but I was against a Yasuo and wanted to zone him off a bit.

Depends on the matchup, but generally you'll want to reach 400 at 20, but 250 or so is acceptable against difficult matchups. There are way too many variables to determine what is good past the laning phase, but you'd definitely want more than 450 in a 40 minute game. All of this assuming you aren't using the new E max build of course.

Also, don't build Frozen Mallet on Nasus.

Callin BS on this. You're not hitting 400 at 20 minutes unless your lane opponent is afk or wears a helmet to school. That's not a realistic benchmark.

275-325 is your 20 minute range.

You absolutely can hit 400 at 20 vs most matchups.

I always max Q and nearly always start Sheen to make the last-hitting more reliable. item 3022 I only built for the health. What would have been better, since I already had item 3025 item 3065 item 3143 item 3742 item 3047 by that point? I was avoiding item 3748 item 3068 because AOE messes up my stacking.

A Warmog's would be better if you had just wanted health. There isn't any situation where you'd want to buy a Frozen Mallet on Nasus. Hydra/Sunfire are things you never buy either.

Yeah, that's why I avoided them. Seemed a bad fit. I don't generally get Warmogs since they made it has no passive in combat, but I suppose there probably wasn't much better. I just figured Mallet would help add some extra slow to keep people stuck when I go to them. I'll get Warmogs next time, or maybe Guardian Angel.

Thanks for the advice.
