@riot, quit buffing the jungle monsters every season

It kills champion diversity in the jungle role.

If anything the need to be nerfed to open up more champions to viable clear routes.

The jungle isn't supposed to be diverse, technically.

Specific champions are supposed to be made to thrive there.

The problem is that certain intended junglers are significantly better than the rest at any given time because Riot doesn't feel like adding more camps that give fewer resources and spawn more often so that both farm junglers and ganking junglers can function in any given meta.

Nerfing the champions has never solved the issues, and buffing/nerfing to target a specific group never has either, but Riot refuses to acknowledge the real issue, which is how binary jungle camps currently are.

I personally do not care for the monster buffs and how it limits the diversity. I dislike seeing champs that were never meant to jungle, jungle. Like Yasuo, Illaoi, Zed, Irelia... yes I have seen this nonsense before (except Irelia). It makes champs that were meant to jungle stronger (not in buffing but in acknowledgement). While I do hate that the damages that I get makes it where a lv 3 gank is a no go, if it means stupid nonsense like Illaoi or Yasuo jungle stops (it has only happen once but seeing how they were not executed...) then fine by me. It does not effect the players that chooses actual junglers.

But I will admit I see your point. Seeing Rengar over and over again is annoying. And he is not on my top 10 ban list. So I get it. But that it is my view point on the subject.

Why do you dislike champions that "were never meant to jungle"? Like it seems like you have a list of acceptable and unacceptable champions in your head, which is just arbitrary.

Blitzcrank was never meant to be played as a support for 4 seasons.

And it's less to the extent of seeing the same junglers over and over again. It's more that i don't care to play those few select junglers, and for that single simple reason, it's almost impossible for me to clear raptors many times when i play jungle, and i'm always levels behind for most of the game. It's a stupid from a game design and balance prospective. Hell it's just stupid on every front.

It is less of an extent, but still comparable to, seeing any one trick player play their champ as a support. Seeing Akali support, you know that bot lane will not go well and all kinds of bad things will go down. It is the same for junglers. Unlike the three lanes, which the criteria is based on the meta (Like with Blitz, Marksmen weren't recognized for their late game potential and 'terrible' early game so they needed supports. Blitz came along when people figured out that CC is the way to go and serving kills to your marksmen works just well as keeping them alive, if not better), the jungle will always annihilate champions that do not have built in sustain and good camp clear in their kits. Seeing champs like Zed, Kat, Quinn go in the jungle and doing it well says that the jungle is just a mean and or challenging opponent but it does no cut champions down.

But there is a key difference.

The lane meta can change, and isn't consistent between games. Where as the jungle minions are, and shouldn't pose a threat in themselves to the play. It'd be like if minions might kill you because it's harder to last hit them.

Try Tris Jungle. Not possible. Jinx jungle. Don't think so. The jungle itself it the 'meta'. It limits what types of champions can and cannot jungle. That is why, even if the Koreans decided to completely change the lane metas, they cannot do too much for changing the jungle. The jungle should be a more constant variable that looks at nonsense things like Marksmen jungle and shake their head and make it harder for them. At the end of the day, the real junglers won't care.

You forgot Kindred exists.

But here is my point. Why?

There is no logical reason for that to be the case. Yet, the one position that riot has the most control over, they decide to completely strong arm out a significant portion of the champion pool through the neutral minions. You will always have teir lists of who the best junglers are, but having a "borderline impossible" teir is impossible to justify.

Kindred was designed to be a jungler, as evidence as part of her kit. I have yet to see her as a marksmen and not a jungler.

You honestly believe that the players should have total control over the pathing of this game while can't have a say so? The jungle is the only (meta and game play wise. Not factoring variables like items) thing Riot can control. Players decide that marksmen are obsolete and mages are forgotten? Oh well. Players want marksmen, who were not designed to be, in the jungle? Yeah, no.
