What I am talking about are the support mains who are glued to their adc all game and use all their buffs on the adc while not giving a single shit about the rest of the team. I have seen janna players shield the full hp adc instead of a 90 hp bruiser that has ignite on him. Then they go on and talk about how selfless they are. Real support mains assess which teammatr they should protect in every situation, and it changes in the same game.

If the adc is at 20 hp then janna should shield the adc, but if the adc is at full hp and the mage is at 100 hp, then janna should shield the mage.
DarkRitual1 votesDepends. If the mage is also OOM, they're basically forced to back anyhow. Also, depends on your adc. If it's a full-build Jinx or Kog'Maw, they're going to carry the teamfight and the boosts to them are often best.
There's too many varaibles to get into, but it's not ALWAYS shield someone to help them not die.

From experience. it doesnt matter what play they make someone on the team will complain and say it was the wrong play if the fight fails. Which is the main reason i dont even que up for the role anymore.

ModWulf Helhammer1 votesCurrently, if your DPS stays alive, you will usually win the fight. Giving the Windspeakers resistances and Ardent Censor buffs to that DPS ensures that.
Can't say I necessarily agree with that, just giving a reasoning.
MagicFlyingLlama1 votesThose are called "Bad players". You wont see those sort of judgement calls from people in lower ELOs, or even often in higher ones. Anything more complex than pushing buttons on the nearest target is beyond most players.
Bhagswag1 votesThe issue with janna is that her Shield also gives good offensive stats. In addition to AD, it can provide life steal and even more damage via Censor to the ranged ADC.
Or it's just a bad and blind support player.
Raoul1 votesSorry, do you become gamebreaking powerfull with the bonus stats from Ardent? No? The ADC does. Does the game depend soly on you as soon as the midgame starts? No? It does on the ADC.
Did Janna get a 56% Winrate by supporting anything but the ADC? No, she didnt.
The only time I support anyone other than my ADC is when my ADC just plain sucks.
