Aurelion Sol is the most oppressive champ in existence

Yea, I'm saying it. He's broken. Outrunning his passive is literally impossible combined with his MS boost. And the radius on his stun is enormous. Unless your entire team has boots (or some kind of ms boost/dash in their kit), you can't outrun the passive. And even if you do have these things, he'll still outrun you. Still not dead? Well, I've got rylais and a huge stun (the radius on this thing is enormous). And if you try to dodge the stun, you're probably end up walking into one of my orbs. Either way you'll probably get cc'd. Anyways, it's mostly his mobility that irritates me. He needs a MS nerf or a nerf to his 'e'.

I'll let you in on an old family secret. This was passed down to my father from his father before him, has been in the family for generations. Its this thing called.......CC

If you CC Aurelion he can't touch you and it makes him extremely vulnerable. If you get inside his ring while his Q is on cool down he either has to try to outrun you (and it takes time for his passive to charge up), or burn his ult or flash. If you get in his face and cc him you can kill him.

Cc'ing him takes away his stars, stops him from getting to you, and gives you time to beat the crap out of him. Picking a champ that can get in his face is good. Diana and Fizz for example. Alkali would work pretty good too I think, but at lvl 6 when she has her dash.

T's hard to outrun Yi's ult. Does that make it broken? No, easy way to stop it. CC.

And hitting Aurelion stops him from flying. Literally anyone with cc would stop him

Here's a secret. Most champions in the game are weak to CC. Most champions die if you get in their face and CC them. For some related advice, if you are get in the face of someone, CC them, and they don't die; you probably need to reassess your target selection.

Aurelion Sol seems pretty strong against champions he is strong against and pretty weak against champions he is weak against. I personally would not be surprised to see his stun duration reduced, though. Most single target stuns aren't 2.0 seconds, let alone an AoE one that grows to be the size of a house, that isn't an ultimate and is on a six second cooldown.

Except some champions depend on it to be beaten. Yi can be unstoppable but if he's CC'd, he's dead. Same with Katerina or Leblanc. Tanks aren't destroyed by CC, if they are tank enough it doesn't matter. Some champions can completely ignore it, like Sivir or Morgana. Others depend on it to be beaten, which makes CC'ing even more important.

Aurelion is beaten by CC and getting in his face. The only thing he can do if you are inside his ring is Q, flash, or ult. If he doesn't have Q up, he has to try and run or force you out of his ring with a flash or ult. He was made to be strong on the outside and weak on the inside. He just got released and to be honest, people are still learning how to play as him AND against him. He's only been out for a couple days, you cant fight a couple and then say "BUT HES OP". It takes some practice to get used to him, both against and as him. He can be strong but he takes some getting used to and if he misses a stun he is very very vulnerable. That's why playing someone who is either mobile, like Fizz or Akali, or someone who has cc is a good counter. If you can dodge his Q's you can beat the crap out of him much easier. Tbh, Yasuo is probably a good pick too with all the dashes. Plus his ult puts you right inside his ring. Not sure how his shield works with the stars though.

Also his ring of stars has gaps in it, so you can run through the gaps and not get hit. His ability that spreads his stars makes the ring wider but drains mana, so he can't use it for very long at the beginning of the game.

CC is good against almost all champions, yes, but for some champions it is CRITICAL that you CC them or they can be unstoppable. If you are getting in his face and he doesn't die, that isn't him being op, thats you misjudging when exactly to go in and out. You shouldn't be expecting to kill a champion at full health with one engage if you aren't fed. I fyou cc him, go in and get some damage off, then get out it will work, and champions like Diana, Fizz, Akali Yasuo, probably Kass at lvl 6, Leblanc, Casseipeia has a slow and can spam the shit on him not to mention the lengthy stun she has, Morgana can block his stun and root him.

Also,

Morgana's root - 2 seconds, goes up to a max of 3 Lux's root - 2 seconds Ahri's charm goes up to a max of 2 seconds Brand - 2 second stun Cait - roots for 2 seconds Ekko - stuns for 2.25 seconds Rammus' taunt goes up to a max of 2.25 seconds Sion's Q has a max of 2.25 seconds Soraka's root goes up to 2 seconds Swain's root goes up to 2 seconds TF's stun goes up to 2 seconds Veigar's stun goes up to a max of 2.25 seconds

Aurelion's stun has a max of 2 seconds

There are plenty of champs who have forms of CC that last 2 seconds or more, and they are all avoidable.

It only gets big if you allow him to keep following. His passive movement speed is stopped with CC. The size of his Q is stopped by CC. His flight is stopped by CC and just hitting him with anything. His stars are stopped by CC. A LOT of what he can do is stopped by CC, making it more important to CC him.

This has literally nothing to do with balance

what...what.......wh...what??

I'm confused. Are you saying your original post has nothing to do with balance? Or that what I said has nothing to do with balanced.

This has a lot to do with balance, coming here complaining about he is '2 fast 2 quick' shows you think he is op and not balanced when in fact he is perfectly fine for right now. He trades damage and being able to fly for vision in bushes and squishiness without his stars.

Literally all you have to do to beat the crap out of him is CC him and get in his face. That's how you beat him.

"this champion does lots of damages to me and is fast" is what I'm getting right now. Nevermind his clear weaknesses, or the counters and tips I have mentioned multiple times over and over again in this thread. Being 'balanced' isn't just about their damage. A champion needs to be able to do well but also needs to have clear weaknesses and counters. They need to have tradeoffs for that damage. Maybe if you'd actually read the big long response I gave you'd know? If he's fed, yea, he's going to do a lot of damage, especially if he isn't focused and taken down. Just like...every other champion? He trades his damage for a somewhat more difficult style of playing, as well as few escapes and squishiness. If you don't stop him and allow him to cs and get kills, yea, he's gonna be strong. Just like every other champion in the game.

Once again, he does a lot of damage but he has clear.weaknesses. I listed CC. I explained HOW CC does so well against him. I gave champions that do well against him. I gave his strengths and weaknesses. He relies heavily on his Q to escape and engage and if he messes it up, he has to burn ult or flash or he's dead.

You came her to complain about how he is the most oppressive champion, yet all you've said is "he's fast" and "he can cc me". I've explained to you HOW he is fine for right now, HOW to beat him, WHO to play, and HOW he works. I've shown you that he is not in need of nerfs at the moment, and he has a clear playstyle both against and as him. A post ranting about how he is "2 oppressive" has everything to do with balance. If he actually was too oppressive, he wouldnt be balanced and would receive nerfs.

I think you just fought a couple, didn't know how to play against him, and came here to complain about it

Aurelion Sol has the potential to become an extremely oppressive roaming mid-lane champion.

But until if/when Riot buffs his numbers, he won't actually reach that potential.

Should probably fight him instead of running away. CC stops the orbs, R is pretty predictable, and the orbs aren't even super hard to dodge. It's like playing vs a Darius, stay inside or outside the radius, don't fight on the edge.

I've already tried explaining this to him, made a super long post on everything you need to know to kick the noodle's ass, and he seems too stubborn and it doesnt seem to be sinking in.

I think they fought a couple, didn't know what they were doing, and that translated too "B-BUT OP!"

Git gud.

Seriously though Asol has plenty of counterplay. Ignoring that while posting about how you refuse to learn it is just ignorance on your part.

well he also calls veigar insanely OP and desperately needing nerfs :P
