Just seems like a good idea, considering MM is still trash. I'm pretty sure the ELO disparity is still messed up from the time of Dynamic Queue (AKA a booster's paradise), or Flex Queue.
And perhaps make SoloQ actually solo so everyone has to work with eachother, and not rely on their smurf Diamond buddy to carry them.
would be nice if soloq was solo and there were no duo's.
Making solo queue really seriously SOLO by disallowing duos would alleviate a lot of the problems caused by smurfs and bad matchmaking in general.
A ranked hard reset has been in order ever since the season 6 disaster.
Duo has no place in solo queue so that should be addressed.
As far as resets go, mmr is nowhere near as bad now as it was during season 1 1200 era. A full reset will only make things worse.
Entire ranked system needs redesign, its pretty ridiculous its still same shit since 10 years, nobody wants either duos or promos, but still we have to endure.

Can't wait for all the salt when a hard reset appears. "Fucking bullshit why did I have 3 last season Challangers in my game? That's unwinable fucking riot". A hard reset would mean EVERYONE would start again at the starting elo (high silver?) and so the most unfair matchmakings would occur with bronze players vs challangers and shit.
Nothing better as a toplane main than going vs Top/Jg duo and being nonstop camped while your jg figures out how to play the game
As one of if not the most vocally user of boards in support for Elo and MMR systems. I strongly object to Riots implementation of Duo queing. It generates mismatches left and right because baising it off Tiers and not MM's Class intervals is silly. Yea it wont break the ladder but fk man it can push MM to throw some curveball shitty matches at players.
Easy solution is Duoing is restricted to MMR values and it wont let a class interval gap group. Better solutions removal of duoing completely but I think the features so dam popular that it would be a net negative for the game and Riot that it could impact player participation to the point MM has to widen its range.
A Hard Reset is never preferable. Id love Riot to do it for a preseason just to show the playerbase how much chaos that would make so they wont ask for it anymore.

I think that in over 9 years of matchmaking experience Riot has enough data working in the interest of Duo Queue. Probably enough people playing solely with friends that Riot would lose more revenue by getting rid of them, compared to getting rid of the solo players who can't accept the Duo presence. Also matchmaking times.
This is just my opinion but..
I like duoQ because this is a GAME and when i play GAMEs i like to have fun and you can have fun in GAMEs with friends.

I actually prefer duo queue. I like actually being able to take control of some part of the game in this coinflip meta. I do think; however, that as long as voice comms are not a thing, duo que should not be allowed in d2+.
duoing doesnt affect TFT too much soooo no reason to change it? stop whining
i mean masters decay every 10 days, so a hard reset isn't really that needed, it'll take a while for the boosted animals to demote from masters+ though with the 10 day system
