We get it, you want more people to join the game. So why not bring back Refer-A-Friend bonuses? Possibly make a whole skinline specially locked to Refering friends, like the Onesies and Pajama Guardians? And if a Referred Friend gets to level 100 you both receive a really good skin?
Lord Nimagist1 votesThe problem with refer a friend was how easy it was to abuse. People would create tons of accounts and run bots on them to level up quickly. Until Riot is able to create a for sure way of preventing cheaters from leveling accounts with bots, a refer a friend system is just to easy to abuse.
Also, if we have friends that we think will enjoy the game, we should promote the game and try to get them to join simply based on the fact that they're our friends and we want them to enjoy fun things.
