Ryze Rework aka Ryze Gut

Just wtf Riot. Ryze was in an iffy spot, now he has no on target ability that actually does damage. His Q is terrible and got nerfed. His Rune Prison is about the only thing that didn't get nerfed. His E does less overall. His scaling is worse. All for a 20% CDR increase and a small shield and slightly more range on a single ability. GJ Riot, rework successful. You gutted a champ already in a bad spot.

Now Ryze is homeless like Evelyn. He has nowhere he can be useful. His kit was on targets and bruiser and you went and said no.

The initial rework sounded great, the execution was poor.

I have even adapted my build several times. But it doesn't matter. Your damage is lower period. Your AP ratios barely moved, while your mana ratios dove. On top of this the Q is way too slow and has deceivingly short range.

The new Ryze just doesn't work. You build him AP he dies instantly. Build him tanky and you are an annoyance. Build him both and you can neither tank nor put out enough to damage to make a squishy back off.

On top of this they reverted his E to his old E so the only changes to him were his values and making his Q a skill shot and giving him a new passive and putting his old CDR onto his ult make his power spike even later.

New Ryze would have at least had a chance if you hadn't messed with his mana values so much. His Q is the only ability that got higher scaling. Everything else was nerfed. His late game is no longer impressive, his early game is unbearable. His mid game is eh.

There is no point in picking him over anyone else. Now Riot go sit in a corner while you figure how to balance properly and focus on the problem champs over the people that were fine. Just because you didn't like a champs role, doesn't mean you should change it. I'm sorry I don't like your balance team, maybe you should fire them because as of lately, they can't get anything right. EVER.

First Cinderhulk is a problem and gets ignored until just the other day. Then Ryze rework is a failure. You gut Veigar (that wasn't a rework) by nerfing his stun and damage but give him slightly more utility.

How are you going to fuck up the Ashe rework next? Are you going to make her a broken version of Yasuo with CC?

Idk who is on your balance team, but they have a shitty focus and sense of this game. The PBE is meant for testing not sending things to the live game half assed because its been on there a couple weeks.

I swear as much as I dislike playing DOTA, at least their balance team has an actual clue.

Hey, before you post a rant like this, please for the love of sanity, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT. (It also makes you look smarter)

80% of what you are complaining about actually never happened. AP ratios improved except for W, along with base damage on 2 of his abilities, while his mana ratios are actually the same overall, just reallocated to different abilities.

  • Q deals 10/15/20/25/30 (+15% AP more damage) and only lost 2% AP ratio (it needs a buff, but it is not anywhere as pathetic as you make it sound).
  • Ironically enough, the one ability you claim didn't get nerfed is the only one that actually did. W's damage got readjusted by +5/+0/-5/-10/-15 and lost 2% mana ratio and 20% AP ratio.
  • E's initial damage was adjusted from 50-130+(35% AP)+(1% Max mana) to 50-114+(30% AP)+(2% Max mana) on first cast, but now it deals a max of 200-456+(120% AP)+(8% Max mana), up from 150-390+(115% AP)+(3% Max mana).

Except his E now can only hit the same target one time. It bounce to each other target up to 1 time then returns when it runs out of bounces. A big nerf to his DPS. As he could get 3 hits on a single target before instead of 2. And he could even get those 3 hits just by standing near them without a minion wave of enemy team.
