No other update had the majority of the class it updated under a 50% winrate after that long. It doesn't even look like there are any plans for Assassin buffs so mages are probably just going to dominate mid lane for another season straight.

He isn't. Look at the winrate curve, it's 60% for 125+ games. You have to try a new approach on talon. Facerolling onto a squishy no longer works.
That's interesting because when you made this argument using winrate you just ignored everything else because less than .15% of talon players are above 125 games yet I've seen this argument of 60% winrate being used far too often as if it means anything with a sample size that low. Seems odd that winrate only doesn't mean anything when talking about how bad assassins are now but it's all that matters when trying to say they are strong because of cherry picked stats.

Also there are still some people just picking up assassins to try them out, also its a tank meta and last but not least AD assassin itemization was ruined which is the main reason they feel sucky right now.

50000000000000001 votesRyze and Lissandra are decent top lane pick on its own without being a counterpick. Can't say the same about Cassio, though. There's also Swain, Rumble, and Vladimir who regularly go top.
That said, with a mage top the mid laner is usually an AD assassin, and double mage comp is not very common, I think.
