It is that easy! You have more people, you win teamfight!!!!!! After you kill their ass the baron is FREE!!!! You don't need to risk baron getting stolen!!!!!! Just turn and fight!!!!!!

What if their (surviving) comp is significantly better at teamfighting?
Oversimplification of situational stuff is why people rage a lot in <gold, since they think theres always a clear cut 'right' thing to do. Which isn't to say turning (or even backing off baron entirely) aren't viable options in some situations, but staying on it is sometimes the right move too.
