Also putting Rekkles on Jhin/Ez (two champs that can't hypercarry) ... is pretty terrible drafting knowing you are going to lose Top/Mid.

It is the 50/50 meta. Game rewards risky plays and snowball out of control out of them. People forgot about it because the semi-finals went as expected but every single week up until then was filled with very volatile games where even the best teams in the world were getting stomped. c9 went from 3-2 against gambit to 3-0 against afreeca. G2 likewise dropped games to wildcard teams and then took a best of 5 against RNG. Don't try to read too much into the results of any single series in this meta.

While I'm a fan of FNC Jungler , but IG jungler played better FNC were playing safe for no reason while IG were YOLO

It was like FNC just came to loose. I was so hyped for this match, waiting all week, getting up early on the weekend just to support them and they just played BAD. Bwipo inting, getting killed 5 times to the same gank over and over, like my gold soloQ top laner, who refuses to use wards and plays next to the enemy turret with 0 vision. Broxah under performing AF, not contesting Ming at all, 0 objective control and contest. Caps is by far the guy i am the most disappointed in, i really thought he could hold his own vs rookie, not that he can beat him in a 1v1, but at least come out even or as less behind as he could, like he did in the group stage games vs them. Reckless is Reckless, for a few years now i just see him getting outclassed on every international tourney, that cocky mofo, who can't git gud, all i am saying is that i didn't expected him to be the catalyst of a hypothetical FNC win. And Hyli is Hyli, he can't do jack as support when his whole team is garbage. I am least disappointed in him. Honorable mentions goes to SoaZ, who got subbed in the last game and actually played good, altho he hasn't player almost all tourney. What a legend, but it was little bit, too late. Fuck watching LCS, worlds anymore, the %%%%%%%%%%%s win everything, its getting boring and repetitive, i'll just have to accept that the west is subpar when it comes to gaming. They outbanned Rekkles and thanks to solid analysation of player behavoirs, like how aggresive and easy to trigger Caps is and how carefree Bwipo will push in toplane without actually having the vision he should have, they managed to snowball off mid in the first game and of top in the 2nd game without Rekkles being able to win botlane with his Tier 2 picks

simple. Rekkles is the most overhyped terrible player I have ever seen. He has no champion pool and has never had one yet so many people keep saying how great he is. When Rekkles actually gets a champion pool that is beyond 3-4 champions he will actually be something of note. Then you have Bwipo who got completely outclassed by TheShy and Caps that is such a coinflip type of player that he can either be the best player ever or the easiest player to exploit in the world. Then you take into consideration that Ning actually performed well against Broxah and what you have is pretty much a much improved IG vs a FNC that really didn't seem all that different from their group stage performances. How did you expect FNC to do against well against IG when they were struggling against EDG in quarters and didn't seems all that much better coming into the finals?

How many successful ganos did IG have compared to fanatic ? Jungle pressure was so constant for IG

Essentially FNatic and IG played the game in a similar fashion, but IG did it ~5% better. And since it was the same gameplan, but executed better, there was no way for FNatic to ever make their way in. That leads to situations that feel super one-sided.
