Am I just a challenger/high diamond smurf magnet?

In the last week I have gotten 7 confirmed Diamond or greater Smurfs..... in Silver/Bronze Cusp games.

I even told my team level 1: Smurf. Play safe to Draven and Lux

Within 3:40 my bot lane fed him FB + double. Then went back to lane 2 times. Did it again. By 5 minutes or so, 6/0 Draven.

He literally had a no mastery team, no skill, pretty much inting team.

Still won because of 'smurf and 'bot.

He even complained about us being a CC heavy team and making it hard on him. Not the first time I killed a Smurfing Draven on Morg. still extremely annoying to see them all over Bronze/Silver.

And one wonders why people think low elo is elo hell. The games they can win: Smurf on other team: The games they have a "chance" of winning: Either no smurf, and you have a chance of winning, or they are on the other team.

You consistently say you are a Diamond/Plat player so why are you smurfing also?

I've told you why I smurf. I smurf to have fun/play off meta roles. I don't get some "rise" out of stomping nubs. I do it to handicap myself. I do it to play with friends.

Who says they are not playing an off role as well? Not just this person, but in general. I for example have an ADC smurf account. I do not play ADC much at all, so it lets me put myself into the shoes of an adc player who i am normally supporting.

Pretty much. Personally I suck at adc because it's the one role that legitimately can't come back from a game if they get shut out of good CS in lane, or if someone else in their lane steals/sabotages the rhythm of the cs flow. I can poke/skill fine as one, but the CS is almost exclusively single target, and the most prone lane to get punished when going for the Siege minion.

This one, and the others I've met down here, were all playing their main roles and openly admitted to ranking a smurf (probably something to Gold- Plat, so the can defend their streams as being something a "little more than stomping nubs.")

So where were you playing morg?

Also, it probably would not have mattered if they were a smurf or not. The ally bott lane probably would have given the enemy team kills anyways if they have 6 deaths total in 5 minutes.

I am unsure how you are comfirming who is smurfing or not though. Sure they can play well, but that does not mean they are smurfing persay.

Jungle.

Bot fed because he took advantage of their "confidence" in shut downs. I saw Thresh throughout the game land good hooks, but they underestimated how fast this guy could orb/switch directions to set back his auto attacks and axe pickups. The first 2 deaths were the result of them having him low and being confident in the kill and going in. It's part of the reason this wasn't an absolute shutout for ME; I took advantage of Thresh's hooks to set up situations Draven just couldn't get out of.

As for confirming;

  1. He had no actual mastery on his account/champ when loading in, but had this record on Op.GG: https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=cheddardroid

  2. He admitted it in game. I pegged him as a Plat I. He's actually Challenger.

  3. I saw how he played around blind spots/corners, or an unmissable CC. His kiting/flashing/minimal movements were unmistakeable.

  4. In Post game he flashed his Twitch feed.
