Rammus Is Fine Guys

Clearly a 3 second taunt has sooooo much more counterplay than a one second silence. And dealing damage to rammus reflects damage back to you which has so much counterplay. His ganks force you to blow flash which has so much counterplay. Great balance rito keep up good work. Talon without his silence is 10x more useful than rammus because rammus is so much fun to play against and has so much counterplay.

His taunt isn't 3 seconds anymore either... Rammus can be very easily delt with early/ mid/ and late game as well. You're silver 5. Work on mechanics and champion knowledge before you run out screaming CHAMPION BROKEN!!!!

How are you gold? And i clearly said he was fine. He isn't broken. Talon's silence was clearly broken.

His taunt hasn't been 3 seconds for almost a year now.

And you're an utter imbecile for comparing Rammus' taunt to Talon's silence.

Yeah man. I'm so dumb. Rammus has a longer taunt than talon's silence. On top of that he can drag you back if you're a melee. You can't cast spells during this time either. Only way? quicksilver. Which is a huge wasted item on a mage.

As a mage, your AAs won't be doing much anyway, and a good Rammus will always taunt the ADC over the APC because reducing the damage dealt by their AAs as well as redirecting it to the tank is Rammus' primary goal. Rammus counters AD, not AP; All you need is a void staff and you are usually set to smash his face. If he gets way ahead from a lot of strong ganks, he still will mostly focus the ADC. If he does taunt you, then consider it job well done that the other carry on your team, who would suffer a WHOLE LOT more than you, is able to go ahead and kill the rest of the Rammus' team.

A good rammus will always taunt the APC DEPENDING on if the mage is aoe or not. Otherwise go for ADC. Always taunt: Syndra Annie Lux OriannaXerath etc etc. I make exceptions for:Fizz Akali and taunt them as well. Other than that got for ADC. The reason is ADC's tend to do single target while mages do damage to the whole team. Also ADCs such as Tristana Vayne tend to do single target damage so i will always go for the mage over these two and let the rest of my team handle the ADC.

Never taunt Yasuo he will kill you with is 50% bonus armor pen and last whisper with lifesteal.

  1. Rammus is a tank, while Talon is an assassin. Tanks are supposed to have heavily disruptive CC, whether to a single target or multiple targets. Assassins are not balanced when they have guaranteed hard CC available to them. You are comparing two complete opposite archetypes and saying that a nerf to one merits a nerf to the other because they both have a single-target CC.

  2. Rammus has to actually get into range to use his taunt, and his gap closer is stopped by standing behind minions. Talon's silence was attached to a 700-range jump, which is longer range than any targeted CC spell, or most targeted spells for that matter. Whereas Rammus has to have a clear shot at his target (meaning you're standing out in the open like a fucking idiot), Talon just needs to be within half of sight range.

Yes, you are an idiot. One whom I nominate for the Darwin Awards.

Want to know counter play to rammus? Counter jungle him. Counter gank him. He gets behind he becomes pretty worthless.

Rammus is perfectly fine, people just do not know how to play against him well yet as he is a low pick.

Plz explain how i kill him without killing my self. Explain how i'm not suppose to blow all my escapes to get away from him. Explain how im suppose to get away when he dives and tanks 10 turret shots. Explain.

Basically, this happens whenever a champ is not played for a while and then turns out to be strong in the meta. People take a lot of time to adjust if they don't know the character well/if they never play against them often. If Shen jungle suddenly got revealed to be really strong again, people would complain about that too until they remembered how to counter him. Also, you cannot compare a silence to a taunt, especially when comparing a tank and an assassin. Rammus still takes 50% of the damage from their basic attacks while they are taunted. I do think Talon's silence should not have been removed since it didn't work in the same oppressive ways as LB's or Kass's, but it is how it is and they obviously don't plan on changing it back. Rammus can be shut down REALLY hard if your jungler knows ANYTHING about the matchup (Which they should if they are jungling). That is how a lot of the older jungles are, if you deny them early they become worthless (fiddlesticks is another case where letting him get control is a certain loss).

Sejuani and Amumu where? Tank junglers often end up receiving a lot of hate in the current meta from what I've seen and for no particular reason. Sure, they may not do as much damage but that's the entire point. They are there to engage, take damage, and secure kills. Rammus reduces physical damage received, Sejuani has perma slow and AOE hard CC, Amumu has percentile DOT damage and two stuns (( one of which is AOE )), and Nautilus has displacements, roots, and slows. All of these champions are GREAT for any team but they aren't able to snowball, deal damage, and remain mobile like Lee Sin, Rengar, or Tryndamere. (( TL;DR I agree with the above statement and I'm trying to explain why tank junglers are great but not as popular as others. ))
