Doesn't sound like a ninja at all TBH.

Sounds a lot more like somebody with daddy issues between the ages of 14-18. Half the time what she says is completely and totally negligible.

I do like the new Akali and how she plays but jesus the voice. THE VOICE. It's like the people who worked on Akali's visual / auditory palette of Akali didn't even know what she did or how she acts. It's like Riot went to Freelancer.com and hired somebody that didn't even know who the champion was to re-create her voice and personality.

It's like the Titans trailer. These fucking Monsters turned Robin into a character destruction. It's like writing Superman going on a killing spree during his Sunday Golf Sessions.

Old Akali

So I guess I'm just wondering . . . if you aren't going to keep the champions personality, why not just make it a new champion? Couldn't Akali have been a new champion instead of a re-work? Hell, the old Akali was all about honor and doing things as a step in a system of Ninja. Now all of the sudden she's like "Fuck Batman. Er. I mean. Shen."

That's kinda because the new Akali is re-written to be this "somebody with daddy issues between the ages of 14-18".

It isn't the voice actor's fault. It's the writer's.

Dick was a well defined character, he had a personality and a way of doing things, which Titans just throws out the window.

Akali went from being Shen's loyal student who could do things no other student could do, because she was trained, since she was an infant, to be a killing machine and to follow orders. The only difference between Akali then and Akali now is that she is older. This isn't a new Akali, it's a continuation of her character.

Saying Akali is a different character is like, saying Sasuke from season 1 of Naruto is a completely different character to season 2 Sasuke. No, that's stupid.

Yeah I really don't like her voice or her lines. It all sounds kinda juvenile. You'd expect a high level ninja to be more... idk. Wise / battle hardened. She just sounds like a 14 year old school girl.

You said she doesn't sound like a ninja, becouse she is no more, she's just a gangsta girl who was trained when she wasyoung. Old akali was blank, emotionless, like she was a cyborg from piltover (i liked that character though). New one has her own "personality".

This just in, She's a teen. She's not some stoic ninja like shen.That's the whole fucking point. She needed a rework, everyone was on board with it, but with reworks come voice changes.
