How serious should we be taking Year in Review stats?

More specifically, the rank stat comparison between yourself and the average of other players in the role across all other ranks.

I don't really ever play ranked. I got silver V in S6 from just placements, then Bronze III in Flex from just placements and other than those 20 games I've only ever done norms. But the year in review stats put me way higher than that.

Truthfully, it makes me want to try harder in ranked next season and I plan to do so. But should we take those stats seriously?

Not really because comparing a player in challenger who is playing against other challengers is not in any way an accurate comparison to a silver player playing against other silver players

Well I take it with a grain of salt.

  1. Example : On my time line my first achievement of the season was a Poppy Pentakill!
