ROA nerf - made alot of AP champions unplayable.

I know the ROA nerf a while back was to shut down Singed players from stacking them / trolling. But it also hit quite a few more champions than singed.

The ROA nerf pretty much said - no more bruiser AP's. Of course there is still Relai's, but this item isn't very efficient, with most of the "top" mid laners already having some form of CC. Well, not really "mid" but AP champions tend to. So the outcome?

Diana players whine. Since the Fizz nerf you can't even do bruiser Fizz. I myself tend to pick up ROA when I support. Nunu? RYZE, SION, ZILEAN. SWAIN

Players will say, "oh the ROA is already balanced" Every AP champ that does decide to buy ROA - end up falling off lategame even though they have ROA a late game item.

The only way I can see ROA being buffed properly, is to bump down the mana, or increase the item's combination cost, while increasing the stacks gained. The item is 2.8k, it should be bumped higher to the tiers of deathcap = 3.3k

I remember watching the patch preview, about assassin's were great. but 100-0'ing players with no counterplay wasn't fun to play against. Then Increase health item's, so they don't get 100 - 0'd by assassin's.

RoA has the same problems Archangel Staff has; it has a huge power delay, the components are garbage, and the mana sustain is outclassed by Grail. Buffing the item still means you're saying goodbye to your early game. I would buff RoA by buffing Catalyst instead, since it's pretty crap at the moment. I've seen someone suggest that Catalyst get RoA's stacking passive, meaning the power delay isn't as big, and I think giving Catalyst a mana restore on kill would help it compete with Tear and Grail for early game sustain.

+1 on that roa is a little cost effective without the stacking but still mana is not a stat that helps you much (ap get big mana pool with lvl's so mana managment is not hard unless you 40% cdr and sacrifica all possible dmg)

I like RoA, I build it on Cho'Gath. Many people build it on Vlad. It's a great item as it stands. You can be relevant mid-game with just a RoA.

why would you build roa on vlad... lol

Little known potential, kinda like Torment on Mundo.

Yeah, RoA is pretty amazing. It does worry me that a buff to it could make it overpowered and ubiquitous, but it's better than leaving it where it is now.

Why is that better than leaving it the way it is? As it stands it's a great item that provides sustain, tank, and damage stats. It's cost efficient and it even looks kind cool. Buffing it seems unnecessary and arbitrary.
