Zed just got nerfed this patch and people here are still bitching about him having "no counterplay" and being "unfair". As a mage mid player, I find zed to be one the fairest matchups in the game. He is vulnerable to early game harass, weave in autos. His w has a 22 second cooldown at rank 1, which means if he uses it to harass you, you have a lot of time to harass back. Make sure to save your cc for when he jumps on you. Rushing seekers is no big deal because it is a very efficient item. A level 6 serrated dirk zed will at most do 70% of your hp if you are level 6 and purchased seekers, and that is if he hits triple q.

There are two types of harass: Poking and Trading. Poking: trying to land a spell from a range at which you are unlikely to take any hits in return. Trading: trying to land more of your kit than the other guy lands on you. Poking Zed is impossible because he outranges you unless your name is Syndra, Lux, Velkoz or Heimer. Even if it is then he has high speed to rely on to dodge your skillshots. Trading... sure. If you can outdamage him with 2/3 of your kit. Because it's guaranteed that he'll press W to dodge at least one of your spells. He'd have to be an idiot not to.

Auto attack range: 550 Zed's shadow range: 650 If you're in range to auto, you're in range to eat his whole combo.

If zed had to land his fucking abilities like he used to, no one would be complaining. Now he doesn’t even need to hit any of his skillshots that aren’t gaurenteed to get kills. Even through seekers.

I find it hilarious when you dodge all of zed's qs but still get one shotted by his r + auto. Of course, he was fed as fuck by my mid laner however it's just funny to think about.

Maybe if a zed is fed, invest in some armour so you have a chance against him. Get a chain vest.

Remove lethality and the hate towards Zed will stop.

2 things in mind: 1- The hate should be on lethality and not on Zed. Even I hate Zed and think this ain't fair. 2- Nobody will keep their mouth shut if there is a level of unfairness. The only people who won't complain are those who play this type of unfairness.

Before lethality, that champion was fine to face and fair. But now he's a middle finger to fairness. Even his own counters are struggling.

Hey don't be rude, adc players are gonna keep down voting this because they can't look at their map and back off instead of overextending, nor they can't stop overstepping to a fed zed, people just hate him because they are so stupid that they don't know how to play against him when he's one of the most depressing champs to play as and has been for 3 seasons, and when he's finally playable they hate him even more, but hey, its ok they can spam vayne and Lulu and that is ok right?

Zed & Ryze are two champions (in my opinion), that RIOT can't seem to get fixed. They're broken, and will never be fixed. It's just something we have to bare.

Zed is a champion that needs to win lane to be relevant. If you prevent him from getting kills, he won't snowball.

Zed is only fair to play and objectively weak / bad in more situations than he is good in at a level of play where people are proficient with their champions and people know why he is so weak. The same people whining about zed I could smash with the aforementioned zed even though I am an adc main. I think if they are invested enough in the game to get emotional and salty then it's easier to blame zed then man up / learn things and grow and that would be required to understand why Zed needs a lot of love right now or to understand his problems.

This, low elo players need to want to learn the game rather than have riot nerf something that beat them.
