Shouldn't the game get more balanced with time?

I'm feeling a bit confused here as i look at champion win rates compared to the previous two seasons. It seems like the game is actually getting less balanced the more balancing riot does. This can't actually be the case, can it?

Somebody give me some reason why so I don't lose all faith in Riot. Surely they are getting better at their jobs with more experience? Right? please?

The game constantly changes (whether necessary to balance or not) in order to keep people interested. Ignoring the fact that a game with so many variables can't possibly become truly balanced, these constant changes prevent some balance that could otherwise be achieved. You can either have a boring game that never changes so stagnates and dies, or you can have a game that keeps getting its balance upset but at least it gets interesting due to new/different content.

Keeping people interested is important to the survival of a game where people spend hundreds of hours of their time. This isn't chess.

You should generally expect the game to stay about as balanced. Riot isn't trying to hone in on a perfect version of the current game. They are constantly changing fundamental mechanics. When they do this, they are more interested in improving game fun, and usually these things have a short term balance cost.

Currently, we're at the point in the calendar when things are always broken. Riot makes a bunch of changes in December and they don't usually get fixed until June. This is when League of Warmog's, League of Cleavers, etc happens.
