It is still possible to climb as a Solo player in ranked, however

It's going to be a test of just how much you can push yourself to get better and of your patience. It's obvious that we get trolled or tested by premades but it the long run, I personally have become a much better player for it. To accustome myself to my opponents my map awareness had to improve as well CS capability.

DQ still for the most part sucks, but if Solo Q were to come back tomorrow, the few of us who haven't relied on premades would thrive in it. That could be another reason Rito doesn't want to bring it back.
