Literally he goes glass cannon and builds crit because he gets a free one, he ults goes in on the ADC two shots whatever is he can and then dies and the rest of his team can follow up. It is the stupidest thing. The rework did not change his play pattern. It just made it even better because he can heal better/remove cc

He benefits more from other items than lethality itself. His rework failed to change his kit at all. His play pattern is still jump in and explode then implode. An assassin goes in and gets out with the trade of just being single target focused and having no CC. Yeah where did Rengar go wrong?

So long as any assassin has the choice to go bruiser they will because you do comparable damage while also not dying instantly. On top of that any time assassin items are good they get nerfed fast while bruiser items don't no one goes glass cannon assassin if they aren't forced to. The get in and get out fantasy for assassins isnt even possible for all of them. Rengar has no way out in his kit and out of the 15 champions riot classifies as assassin only 7 have a realistic way out. The other 8 rengar included only have a way in.

DarkPh0enix1 votesIf I'm in the Jungle (Rengar OTP), I DO play him as a suicide bomber early on to get the stacks. Later on, assuming I get ahead, I look for picks untill I complete my lethality items, after that, I am free to build defensively and still basically one shot.

Their job is to kill a target that will make a large impact if left alive for a long period of time, and die immediately after. Why do they die, simple, so an unfair 4v5 situation is not forced after they kill their target.
