It's Begun. Shaco sitting at a 54% wr and a high playrate?
Better nerf Irelia.
Better nerf Irelia.
shaco mains are the most shameless group on this board
but do you remember Rengar mains
They are almost the same people with shaco mains.
They just wanted their champion reverted because he wasn't fun to play. Shaco mains say their champ is weak when he sits at a 53% wr. Not sure how you go and compare those 2 groups.
Can confirm this was the reason Rengar mains posted
Rengar mains brigaded and whined for like a week straight and blew up the boards with revert Rengar threads that just read like a bunch of salt that they couldn’t oneshot in the same way as before. They manipulated the upvote system in order to make it look like a lot of people agreed with them when in fact it was just r/rengarmains brigading the entire gameplay board.
If that’s not shameful, I don’t know what is.
[deleted]
Were you not there for that? Entire "Hot" page was just a swarm of "Buff Rengar" threads, with a lot of the posters having little to no prior post history on the boards, and reasoned threads arguing that the rework was needed were mass downvoted into oblivion.

I wasn't here but I trust you because I was in the Caitlyn Mains sub-reddit and a Rengar main started to ask help to revert his Q.
In an fking sub to talk about Caitlyn, and I assume that if they did it ont the Cait one they probably did the same in other Main-sub reddits.
They didn't complain that they couldnt one shot. In fact the reworked rengar could one shot way easier. Their champion was straight up ruined and unfun to play. On another note no thread on the rengar main subreddit has EVER gotten that many upvoted that fast. It was clear a lot of other players agreed with them and they had to do what they had to do to get their champ back. Again they arent the same as Shaco mains, they had every right to do what they did. If you want to compare another group compare Sona mains who also complain when their champ is clearly strong. Also here is the most upvoted post about rengar which clearly gets the point across and isnt ranting and is clearly supported by other players: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/q3scZE41-thoughts-on-rengar-revert
That’s why I said ‘oneshot the same way’; if you read my comment you’d have picked up on that
Brigading is brigading bud
There was legit nothing negative about the 500 upvote post. Just stop trying to talk bad about them.
Yes because I enjoyed every thread in gameplay being about Rengar and each thread saying not only the exact same thing but also treating itself as if it were objective
Brigading is a nasty habit, and it’s not fun whenever it happens
they were only annoying when the revert rengar circlejerk went around

To be fair both those champions have received massive reworks and then consistently nerfed afterwards.. repeatedly... so I can at least sympathize with their plight.
To be fair both those champions have received massive reworks and then consistently nerfed afterwards.. repeatedly... so I can at least sympathize with their plight.
It is because like Shaco, their reworks missed the mark completely, failing to solve the main problem with their kits
It apperas Riot's balance team primarily focuses on pro play... if the pro's don't play Shaco he likely won't get nerfed. Just look at their nerf history the last few patches...
Champs the pro's play get nerfed Ryze: 45% win rate (nerfed on 8.5 and 8.6 and now 43% win rate) Olaf: 48% win rate (nerfed 8.7) Sejuani: 48% win rate (nerfed 8.7)
Meanwhile many of the highest winrate champions the pro's don't play are unchanged even though their win rate is ~53% (Shaco, Warwick, Udyr, Janna, Brand, Nami, Zyra, etc.)
There are 60,000,000 active players and 100 pro's. Why do they balance for the 100 pro's and ignore the 60 million?
because the 60 million players do not represent the way this game should be played
And if the game continues the way it is currently there wont be 60 million players
The same sort of elitist mentallity plagued world of warcraft pvp and look what happened to that
[{quoted}](name=Pink Leg Warmers,realm=EUW,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=Ouc3N7Lb,comment-id=000000000000,timestamp=2018-04-05T19:24:15.543+0000)

Actually WoW PVP was never very good and certainly not well balanced because they always had to factor in the impact on PvE (which more people played) whenever they wanted to balance PVP. Then Ghostcrawler got ahold of the game in WOTLK and decided in his infinite wisdom to make arena games last 2 minutes instead of 20. That was the beginning of the end of serious WoW pvp.
Anyhow, you balance around professional players because that's the only objective way of balancing. You can't balance the game around the other 60 million because that 60 million doesn't even know what balance looks like. They're too bad to understand it. Why do you think Ryze and Azir have awful winrates yet they're played often in competitive?
The best way to make both parties happy is to get rid of cheesy stuff like one-shots while also adding depth to a champion's kit. This makes it harder to counter (thus more attractive to pros) while making it less annoying to play against (thus less annoying for pubs).
Actually it was good in early to middle of wotlk and that its but that doesnt mean that it wasnt fun, hell this game wasnt balanced in season 3 and 4 but i and many others found the game to be very fun to play l. you are correct in saying that the game was balanced around dps and hps in high end raiding.
Doest chamge the fact that their was an incredible elitist attitude when the player base were discussing balance changes in regards to bg vs the arena crowd.
No one is asking for it to be balanced around solo que mosr of us just want an end to the snowball and damage aswell as mobilty brought down. Most of us were fed up talking about mobility and damage creep 2 seasons ago and things have only gotten worse.
Rioters from the balance team have spoken recently about
Limiting changes to the game for pros that may adversely effect solo que, then the baron changes appeared and the ward changes that may happen
Also about how high the damage is in the game before having a 9 to 1 ratio on buffs to nerfs on subsequent patches...
Is this a case of sheer incompetance from riot or are simply lying to our faces while trying to take our money
Also about how high the damage is in the game before having a 9 to 1 ratio on buffs to nerfs on subsequent patches...
To my knowledge, there hasn't been a single red comment acknowledging or discussing how inflated damage is across the board this season.
One of the obvious culprits was the removal of MR runes, which was neutral to negative for most mages while being a massive buff to hybrids who never itemized for magic pen. Lo and behold, who are some of the champs shitstomping the rift this season?

And the S8 Ardent that can make any AD a hybrid:

Mundo is garbage, literally one of the worst champions in the game.
You're totally right. I was thinking Udyr and have no idea why I ended up clicking Mundo's picture.
lol when did WoW arena games last 20 minutes? Unless you're talking about TBC drain-comps and druid pillar humping?
Either way, I think what you mean to say is that WoW pvp was always pretty lousy.

That's exactly when they lasted that long, when druids were everywhere. Instead they went to stupid amounts of burst every game. But yeah, balance was never good. Still at least TBC was unique and I had fun then playing UA warlock double dps twos. WOTLK arena was absolute braindead garbage.
You played one of the most disgusting classes at a time when PvP was its most toxic, so I wouldnt say you are a good judge of the state of pvp.
Its like a resto druid coming in and saying that TBC was a good time for PvP.
WoW PvP has always been fucked, from the very start.

I didn't play SL/SL (basically demonology warlock with a splash of affliction) nub, I played UA which had very little representation because it was horrifically squishy and didn't have soul link. If you dont even know what the specs were then you're clearly a terrible judge. What you are saying is the equivalent of calling Moonkins broken and "bad judges of the state of pvp" just because resto was actually broken. I also played rogue and was top 10 in bg9 so yes, I was an am still a very good judge of pvp.
Of course it has always been fucked, it doesnt mean it didn't become MORE fucked over time. At least TBC required some strategy while WOTLK required rolling your face and slamming your cooldowns.
Sorry, but that kind of mentality is what kept Azir and Ryze broken for a very, very long time because their kits were categorically unbalanceable between high and low elos. Like it or not, but a very large key stakeholder for Riot is their ESports and that's here to stay as long as they have an audience, and therefore balance changes will always (and shoul) take pro play into account.
Furthermore, you don't have to be that high in elo to notice balance offenders. There are definitely champion mains who can abuse overtuned or broken kits even if they're difficult to pilot even in Plat. Chess isn't balanced around beginners who can't use Pawns effectively, and League shouldn't catter to Bronzies who should try to get better at the game instead of complaining that Warwick is unfair.
big difference between chess and league: it's been played for thousands of years and has undergone minimal changes except new strategies being created
Because the 60 million don't know how to play the game. It's not right to balance around a majority of players who don't play correctly.
Because the 60 million don't know how to play the game. It's not right to balance around a majority of players who don't play correctly.
isn't this kinda an moronic statement to make. where do you think those pro players come from? Thin air?
They come from the 60 million pool once they are good enough and then they know balance. Granted, sure. In that entire 60 million, some non professional players have grounds to talk balance because technically there are other barriers to pro play besides skill. But the vast, super majority still shouldn’t be balanced around. And it’s the vast super majority that cry for the stupidest nerfs like master yi and Morgana Q.
Plus, the loudest voices come from low Elo. Notice how it’s the champions abused in challenger and that high elo streamers talk about/pro players talk about that get nerfed. Most of boards is garbage, including me. Most of Reddit is garbage. Most of everyone is garbage. Including me. (I say this so you don’t feel the need to point out my rank as if I’m above it all.)
However, if you’d like to discredit posts with insults, ill step down to your level. Isn’t it moronic that you shit out that sad excuse of a post without so much as thinking of the implications of balance and how most complaints work? I’d prefer not to play a game that is balanced around low elo garbage like me. 90% of players are below gold 5. 90%. You want the game balanced around gold? You’re delusional and should feel ashamed you even made this forum post in the first place.

yasuo was repeatedly nerfed because of the 60 million, and every time they give him a tiny buff, there's massive backlash.
yasuo circlejerkers: "WTF 20 MORE DMG ON HIS Q WHAT IS RIOT THINKING" yasuo players: "oh wow this buff feels nice, makes laning feel smoother :)"
people complain about his free stats and windwall, not his damage
heck, if they gave him some trading power and diminished some of his free stats, people would probably cheer for it
Don't forget Aurelion Sol, who's had a 54% for a long time. Not sure if it's ever been below 50% besides at release

Problem is aurelion sol is played by 2k people at most worldwide, while shaco has at least 25 or more thousands of people actively playing.
And at the same time AS is complex on his own, while Shaco is just your everyday assassin jungler with duskblade and tiamat.

Let's be real here, Ryze is broken lmao.
I ban Shaco every game because he makes playing non-tank junglers an absolute nightmare. The reason he's not picked in pro play is because they play almost exclusively tank junglers. Once Shaco's burst is gone he's an immobile wet noodle. However, I dislike playing tank junglers and thus I will always ban Shaco.
Kha'zix is just as bad and can still instagib you, of course. Shaco is just more annoying.

It is weird you say that, because Shaco used to be one of the best counters to tank junglers, because he would just invade and counterjungle any tank and leave them behind (of course he would lose if he let them recover, but a good Shaco wouldn't do that).
shaco is just better in SoloQ than vs a coordinated team. If you fight shaco alone in the game you're going to pull your hairs out, however if the whole team is warding and in on it then you'll find shaco eating canned beans in a bush waiting for the game to end.
