Did you get the better botlane? Here, have some LP.

Some minor, further explanation; It's much harder to influence Botlane as an outsider now than it was in the past. TP's cast time is much higher than before making Bot-lane TP roams much less effective. Junglers can't power-level in the same way that they used to, so a fed Bot will generally be equal in levels to a fed Jungler, making it harder (if not impossible) for a Jungler to successfully gank for their losing botlane. Mid-Lane is generally camped to hell (because outside of top, it's the most accessible lane in the sense that it's much easier to camp a good top or mid out than it is to camp a good bot out, and junglers know this.) as a result Mid's generally aren't as strong in comparison to botlane as they used to be, nor are they as mobile, reducing their ability to effectively influence bot. To top it off many Assassins or burst champions have been nerfed, had their burst windows increased (to the point where some ADCs burst faster than them, lol), or have just fallen out of meta in general.

In comparison, vision has never been stronger, ADCs powerspike at 1 and a half items, Supports do more damage (both due to the new runes, and also because of the lack of MR runes which almost every support benefits from as they tend to deal AP damage.) Support itemisation is really good, Bottom turret is the weakest turret in the game and gives more gold than ever before, and many champions that used to dump on ADCs have been nerfed, outright gutted, or have had their strengths and weaknesses shifted (i.e, Rengar, Evelynn,)

What also doesn't make sense is the matchmaking. I don't understand how players can be getting matched up based on their "skill" level and go 0-5 in 10 minutes.

silver/gold/plat is so disgustingly unbalanced. Terrible metas, like ardent, boosted unskilled retards (players "lucky" enough to have better bot lane in this example) while skilled players got crowded out with their low influence in bad metas.

Lol I just got out of RANKED game where there were 2 plats in the game. A mixture of golds and silver 2 who averages over 8 deaths a game and has like a 42% win ratio. Now the silver was obviously a duo but why that is even allowed is beyond me. 3 different tiers all in one ranked game. You can imagine how well it went for the silver 2. NICE RIOT!

I played a game last night where my bot lane lost all 3 towers in under 13 minutes.

That's a first for me.

I rage quit a few months ago (and will never return until riot actually does something about it...which will be never)

But i rage quit cause i was in for qualifiers for the 6th time and the matchmaking matched me with players who let their towers and inhib get destroyed in about the same amount of time 3 games in a row.

while i was at toplane screaming "how the fuck is this even fair????"

the secret answer..... is it's not, it's rigged. stop playing. Many streamers have done so for exact reasons.

In your last 2 games you went 0/5 (both 21 minute games).

What's your point? That people can't have bad games/matchups?

Botlane is an endless gank fiesta. The outcome of botlane is often out of the ADC's control due to relentless ganking and weak early game towers.

Vision is weaker than it was previously due to the removal of trackers knife and nerfing of early game zombie ward.

not to mention support are force to wait an absurd amount of time before they can get sightstone now, instead of having one 6-8 min i now get one 10-15 min... by which time i am already level 6..

Yeah no joke. Oh getting ganked all game? you better wait abit for wards then

vision isnt the issue for bot lane. not knowing how to ward to begin with is the issue. even to this day people never ward the center of river near dragon. if you ONLY ward the river bush that is bot lane then you have far less time to react to anything.

the real issue with bot lane is that its a 2v2 lane. if one side gets a lead, regardless of how they got that lead, they will stomp the other side. when this happens it means two people are bullied out of CS and essentially starves to death and becomes virtually useless. Your team is left to 3v5 because your ADC and support have been starved out of gold and cant do anything. its not like camping a tank top laner who does not need gold to be useful. they will get tanky no matter what.

+1 All of this is true.

In addition, item costs for bruisers (to hit power spikes) are too expensive and take too long to get too. In other words, top lane bruisers (you know the champ type that good players with far more game knowledge and mechanics used to play in order to carry games) are too weak and unable to snowball/influence games.

Individual performance NEEDS to matter more in their calculations for LP lost and gain. If your the boat anchor to your team one game, you should lose A LOT of LP for that game.

Beacon Academy2 votes

I still don't understand why bot tower is still weak.

Not letting the resistances fall off at the start would be a great start to stop everyone ganging up in the bot lane.

Heh, I just used to thing that botlane usually is gankfiesta after 10 minutes.

And games in silver - gold - platinum - even low diamond is fucking coin flip - 40% that enemy will stomp you, 40% that you will stomp enemy, 15% you carried your shit useless teammates to win, and 5% with really nice teamfights, comebacks etc.

Game was way more fun to play before, and i sometimes regret that i came back after 2 seasons of pause

This bot lane win lose is a big misconception of the game.

Why bot lane weights the heavies in a game? Because 2/5 players are there. Also, a late game hyper carry is there. But a won bot lane doesn't win the game. Remembe 2 out of 5 players are in bot, that's exactly the same number as the other lanes. So for losing bot, mid and top must win.

Now let's look at jungler, if enemy bot wins, mid is tie and your top wins. What does this tell us about the game? That 2 enemy players are in front, 1 of your players in in front, and usually for junglers they are balanced if not feeding since neither of the junglers could really get ahead. So is mid. You can clearly see from this who has the advantage then.

So the choices are: babysit bot to win, or make sure that mid and top are won. This is the objective.

Here comes the flawed matchmaking, if one of these lanes is completely stomped. Well do the math. With damage creep and fast pace, it's clearly who'll win

It's not a misconception when those 2 players can completely outweigh the other 3. Top? What's that? Mid? You mean the lane that fed ADCs rotate to once they hit their 1 and a half item powerspike because it has the shortest path to the nexus?

Thefrostyviking1 votes

Rotate post 1 and a half item?

Good sir, we are not playing in fricking worlds in soloq/normals, most marksmen want at least 2-3 items+boots before we leave lane, any earlier and its desperation or a brutal stomp and enemy tower went down almost from the start and its too dangerous to push onwards.

That's when the real power kicks in, having to leave that is a huge risk taken as it means your access to easy farm is cut and you´ll have to risk constant attention from enemy midlane and jungle, the most threatening roles at those points in time.

flibitydoo3 votes

false you want to rotate to mid and start the midlane siege the moment you knock out the enemy bot lane turret. That gold spike is enough to "decide your lane" and allow you to start sieging mid and taxing your midlaners CS. Not only that but it's now objectively safer to start doing this than continuing to lane botlane since pushing into the enemy inner turret is a massive over extension (and it's always going to be this way because of the minion vs minion %dmg/%dmg reduction calculations). This can be done even before reaching a full item spike. It's also helpful since the mid outer turret should in theory be the first turret to fall since it opens up a lot of the map and allows for more counter jungling and makes teamfighting (for your team) around the center of the map safer. I mostly play norms blind pick, but every single ADC I've supported with a golden border or shinier does this. Every. Single. One.

Thefrostyviking1 votes

Do notice that i wrote in a description for the possible exceptions, such as enemy tower going down unusually early for some reason, but usually the preferred thing is to milk the lane for as much as possible to ensure that enemy midlane and jungler will not have the ability to threaten you.

The other issue with early rotation towards midlane is that it aside from putting you in a much more open space, also drains your own midlane´s gold, you´d preferably wait a bit with this as it tends to tilt them extremely hard or it might just make them useless.

Roaming mid for kills and even putting your own midlane is fine though, this is a common thing, warding enemy jungle and ambushing them is also great, if you get ahead in your own lane and manage either of the two above then you have basically knocked 3 enemy players out of the game, possibly 4 even.

You wont manage to push midlane against many mages anyhow since they often waveclear well from a early point.

' So all in all, crushing your own lane a bit and then roaming to knock at least one other enemy out before rotating mid is not only more profitable, it´s also safer even if it means the match might go a little longer, but if you get lucky during the roaming it might instead be faster.

At least that´s how i got myself into a mainly plati/ low diamond elo on my normals x)

Thefrostyviking1 votes

OP are you quite forgetful?

Support vision just got nerfed, they have to get 500 gold from a quest just to get a sightstone item, most marksmen need at least 2-3 items to really powerspike .

The topmost rated marksmen by Op.GG are Ezreal, kaisa, Xayah,Varus and kog.

All those need at least 2 items to get going well, sometimes 3 or more.

If scrolling down their list then the only marksmen that can powerspike on 1 item are Draven and MF, and even MF has seen a rise in popularity for critbuilds meaning she might need more items before powerspiking.

Midlane top 6 Are TF,fizz, kassa, cassio, talon and Ekko, 5 champs with powerful roams and 1 mage that just ...scales.....very damn well with new items.

Jungle got kha6, shaco, jax, eve and Xin zhao in the top 5, all are good vs marksmen, particularly the first 3 in my opinion.

So while i would argue that there are some marksmen that have poor design, and there are some items like static that also have poor design, a great many of them are still fine or just slightly overtuned or just abusing some item that is too strong.

And botlane still get camped to hell and back, both sides supports will frequently clear out wards given a chance.

honestly, I concur. I go into a game hoping that my team will at the very least pick lane properly. but even then, I get an adc that has no idea that hes supposed to carry and is usually the one who feeds the most. my gameplay is not amazing but its not horrible and the times I lose lane are generally when whoever I'm playing is countered and its not even catastrophic I'm never the reason we lose the entire game.. lol like at the point you never know. you could play great and still lose. I have matches to support this statement.

Or maybe the team that doesn't have the Yasuo onetrick who frequently goes 3/13 wins?

Why do shit players who pick these meme champions that offer no real utility to their team when behind, who feed their asses off in each game only to vent their frustration on the current hot topic (ADCs) then make shit posts like these and STILL get upvotes?

Why is this community such a piece of shit?

Ah, zi ad hominems. First off, multiple accounts. Did not write this post from the perspective of my Yasuo-wannabe-one-tricking-ass. Nope. I can make very little commentary on the state of the game when playing Yasuo simply because I'm far more focused on learning his mechanics, lane matchups, and how to best manage his feast-feed mentality so that I might one day be a Yasuo who can snowball every game.

I wrote this from the perspective of a Jungler. For the past 3 seasons my Jungling has had me floating between plat 5-low dia, and, while not a spectacular or perhaps even noteworthy rank, my ability to consistently reach high plat does place me within the upper percentile of players. But, more than that, it doesn't require a high rank, or skill, to make accurate commentaries and analysis' on the state of the game. Some of the best posts I've seen on GD or boards over the past 4 seasons that I've been playing have come from persons as low elo as my current self. It's also not unusual to see a post on here by a low elo player, that is often echoed by a high elo streamer/pro player at a latter date.

You don't need to be mechanically gifted to make accurate observations about the state of the game. And even if being low elo makes me retarded...even a broken clock is right twice a date matey!

Yah i feel yah man. Been playing (Main account on LAS) since the original Pre-season (season 0) and this is by far the worst, most frustrating meta ive ever expirienced, ADC meta is boring and feels bad, like the game is determined since the beggining instead of by your actions.

I really wish they would just gut ADCs. They can even outduel many duelist melee champs on their own with just one item and it just begs to question what is the fucking point anymore.
