What are some good Shyvana Builds?

So with the update coming this Wedsday, that means Shyvana will get some pretty good buffs as well as the huge nerf to her passive. Still fucking hate this one since the previous one they suggested felt more rewarding for getting dragons than just your bonus stats but I've already bitched about this before and just have decided to accept it with these buffs.......for now.

But to the main topic of this, since she is getting buffed, both directly and indirectly with BotRK, it got me thinking about wanting to play her for this coming season and preseason. Problem is I really don't know what builds are good at this point, what with the jungle and masteries being changed. So I'm just asking anyone who plays her: what builds are you currently running with her right now? Just list everything you play on her: items, masteries, & runes. I'm just looking for builds to try this season.

Considering she will have nice dmg from her W/E, I think building her tanky with 1-2 dmg item will be suffiecient. item 1401 item 3022 item 3075 item 3102 item 3742 item 3009

I still think she will be bad or if her numbers are too high, she will be gutted again. She used to be good when counterjungling was actually a thing. When you can just counter jungle and get out of the jungler 1-2 levels higher at the cost of your teammates having no ganks.

It's actually not a huge nerf on her passive, so I think it's worth it. Personally, I've like the cinderhulk build the best. She always felt too squishy for my playstyle. Simultaneously, my favorite offensive item is Trinity Force. Fitting it in can be hard though. Deadman's plate feels good, but I usually take Randuin's Omen instead for the 10 bonus armor and 10% crit damage reduction. I usually build Ninja Tabi for the 12% damage reduction on autos. And for MR I would go Spirit Visage or Banshee's Veil if they have a lot. Before the changes, I would sometimes build Locket of the Iron Solari. Zz'rot Portal or Guardian Angel aren't bad either.

All that said, I don't main Shyv, and haven't played her since 6.23. But I suspect not much has changed.

She still wont be played. Her problem is that the idea of a champion killing you because she jumps in your face is a concept that Riot no longer believes in. If you can get to the back line and kill the ADC, it gets nerfed pretty quickly. Shyvana is that champion. Normally, that's fine because most other champions have other ways to impact the game...with CC or something like that. Shyvana does not..Her ult at best is now more reliable that it can be interrupted but we will see if they fixed her hit box and drag on her ult.

I feel like, at least for thematic reasons, her ult should be unstoppable. (IE can't be interrupted.)

The guy made a typo or something. With this patch coming her ult is being made unstoppable.

Right now my build is item 1416 or item 1419 , item 3748 , item 3022 and/or item 3078 , item 3742 or item 3143 , defensive boots.

item 3091 or item 3065 if I have Ninja Tabi against a fed AP, or just come late game.

If I have Merc Treads I will generally take item 3153 , item 3046 , or whichever of item 3078 item 3022 I don't already have, depending on circumstances.

Against squishies it's probably item 1416 item 3748 item 3078 item 3742 item 3111 item 3022 (last item Frozen Mallet unless against some serious kite)

Against tanks perhaps item 1416 item 3748 item 3022 item 3153 item 3046 ninja tabi or merc treads depending on enemies.

Generally speaking she builds bloodrazor, boots, with the rest of the items a mix of damage and tank.

On PBE I've mainly been building, (I've had much success)

item 1416 / item 1401 -> item 3078 / item 3153 -> item 3111 / item 3047 / item 3006 / item 3009 -> item 3748 / item 3022 ->

Into tank items, for Armor: item 3742 / item 3143 / item 3075 and for Magic Resist: item 3065 / item 3102

Some special case items that are also really good on her are item 3091 , item 3026 , item 3053 , item 3083 , and item 3512 .

A lot of what makes a good Shyvana is learning to adapt your builds against your enemies correctly ^^

(I tend to build my first core item b4 finishing my jg item, seems to work better)

I do a bursty style of build. I go item 1416 into item 3078 with item 3009 all while having the Stormraider's Surge keystone. This makes you almost unkitable by anything short of bunny hopping Kalista. The next two items deal with Armor and MR usually item 3742 and item 3065 but I also get item 3091 if I am really ahead. My last item is situation usually because the game is over at that point.

item 3022 for the extra anti-kite (personal favorite choice) item 3512 for stats and extra pushing power item 3026 when dying means you lose
