League As A Strategy Game Has Completely Devolved

Every single game you can predict every single play because there's never any reason to deviate.

Winning lanes will break tower and swap, break the new tower, swap, break the new tower, situationally pick up baron/dragon contingent upon won fights/junglers' positioning, and the game is decided within the first 10 minutes of doing this.

It really feels like League of Duty: Modern Snowballing 2 and has the 1 second time-to-kill to match.

Refined =/= devolved.

People have figured out through extensive amounts of play that this is the most effective way towards victory, it is no different then other sports coming up with new tactics.

That is like saying basketball has devolved because they added a shot clock to stop a single player dominating the game and just holding onto the ball and letting the time roll.

Thats not devolved or refined. Thats the sad truth league has always been. There was never strategy you can see it at higher elos you're probably just a higher elo than you were in the past so now its become more visible.

This game is going on the same path as WoW. There used to be mind games, strategy, ways to trick and outplay your opponent. That, until the damage was increased to stupid amounts, and the best tactic was simply to use ALL your cooldowns to burst your opponent before he does it first.

But hey, more damage equals more fun, no? The developers thought "we know better what players want, let's ignore all their feedback", and that mentality lead the game to its current state, a ruin, only a shadow of its former self. Ask Ghostcrawler what happened, he should know better.

Strategy, what strategy? Blink and you're dead.
