Urgot's multiple personality disorder and what it means for his rework.

For champions like the upcoming Galio rework you can at least see what their identity is, in his case it would be an anti-magic damage ability caster.

When it comes to Urgot though, he has two different identities that are so at odds with each other than one WILL have to go no matter what when he gets reworked.

On the one hand, he is somewhat of a ranged bruiser that fights at mid range but also has the tools to survive the enemiy's damage for example shields damage reduction etc.

But then there's also long-ranged artillery poke Urgot who wants to stay as far away from you as possible to poke you down with his E-Q-Q-Q-Q combo and avoid contact as much as possible.

For bruiser Urgot it doesn't make a lot of sense that he would have as much ability ranges as he has right now and he would gladly trade that for just more upfront damage and tankiness instead.

On the other hand, it also doesn't make a lot of sense for long-ranged poke Urgot to have an ultimate that gets him right into the enemy team and to have all this damage reduction and other defensive capabilities.

You can't get both to be on one champion and I just wonder which one will have to go. Some people at Riot have stated that they want to get rid of his ult and let another champion have it which would mean that they are more fond of poke Urgot but I personally wouldn't really like that because I like bruiser Urgot more.

At this point it really just comes down to opinion and on what you think is the better version of Urgot, so here's a poll to vote on:

Honestly I like the idea of Urgot being this artillery bruiser. His damage probably wouldn't be on the level of other artillery champions, but the constant presence would make it noticeable.

That'd be ass to fight against in lane though.

Already is whenever he's strong.

I dislike his E, it gates all his Q skillshot gated power into... another skillshot.

It literally doesn't amp his damage much if you can already reliably hit Q's (which is pretty good against being bodyblocked, but I'd like a change) besides the extra range (if it locks on, even if they move out of it's actual range it'll still hit) and the damage itself. Hitting an E should make his Q's go through units when fired in the general direction of the person he hit, or buff the damage a bit.

I think for a looming, hulking putrid monstrosity, being right up in your face is a more satisfying fit. I still find the long range artillery concept but this I could do without.

I relish the idea of the league players who are more impressed by cute/adorable characters (nothing wrong with that) having to be in the same game with a grotesque champion where the last thing they would ever want would be for him to be right on top of them.
