If you just ping mia they don't know if the room is coming top or bot side, but if you ping be careful with the annoying high pitched sound it makes right on your teammates they are more likely to back off

We are at Base They have stronger wave clear
In both those cases we cannot just "get the tower", especially since Mid also has more places to get ganked from.

If they are roaming that frequently and not getting anything from bot then they are way behind in lane at that point and their tower is likely at that point.
If they are roaming bot and getting kills everytime they will be ahead which makes it hard to not only push against them but force fights because they will be looking for you to over extend so they can all in you with the lead they got from bot lane.
The other problem is if the jungler is covering their lane they roam more often in which case they are essentially taking the place of jungle ganks.
The point is if you see them roaming bot a lot and their tower is not gone then there is probably a good reason for that. There isn't some imaginary world where minions are magically being stopped by an invisible wall or we are just standing there chilling reading a book while sipping on some coffee. We want mid turret just as badly as you want bot's(even more so since it gives more pressure). If we can take it will we will if we can't theres a good reason for it.

Believe it or not strong waveclear is not required for mid lane. With adc's having shiv and maybe kit waveclear of their own, you can compensate. I heard someone got challenger 1 tricking

You know adc comes mid ussually after taking bot tower to help take mid tower, if you go bot to laneswap, its a viable decision.
P.S. Midlaners do not have more expensive items unless your build is ridicoulous, but even in that case adcs are still the most item dependant role in the game.

(leaving out boots cause they're equal cost for both, though adcs can typically forgo t2 boots for longer)
These builds aren't unreasonable, I'd say that on average Mages have about 200 gp more per item cost.
The big issue is that full 6 stack gold amount isn't important. What's important is the 3 item power spike. ADCs hit this extremely quickly, due to two of the three items being aggressively priced at 2600, and their "death cap" being 200 gold less. Any mage 3 item core involving death cap will be more expensive than the adcs 3 item core, and this is post Dcap buffing.

to do things, he needs to be constantly stacking ap, so he needs to especially get his deathcap, and he also needs to be last hitting with his abilities on the wave, meaning that when the adcs take his farm its a pain in the ass for him to do anything because he now cant keep stacking ap because his ADC is a jerk.
