As someone with an anxiety disorder, the match found notice is a bit stress inducing

I don't want to mute the client sounds because sometimes a match is found while I'm clicking out of the client into my browser, but when the sound pings it sends my heart racing since it has so much hit at the very instance the sound plays.

Am I going outside of my bounds to ask for the sound to have some fade in or a softened "pre-echo" to it? I mean I'm all for my heart racing playing a game, but I want it to be from the release of dopamine and adrenaline from making a big play, not from a panic-inducing menu sound.

Your best option here is probably to turn down the volume of the client down so the sound isn't so jarring.

edit: I use Windows 10, it's easy to adjust the volume setting of individual programs in the Volume Mixer found by right-clicking the audio icon in the task bar

edit 2: I also have anxiety disorders. I actually had to mute the announcer in-game because the "enemy double kill! an enemy is unstoppable! etc" announcements were really starting to tilt me and I've found the game so much more peaceful without them.
