One game, i ended up having to trundle supp because of a miss communication with the team in champ select.
So I just tried to play him as a tanky peeler for my adc. I maxed my pillar, and i build 40% cdr asap to have pillars every 6 seconds.
I will say that it went better than expected. Pillars are amazing peel and great for engage as well.
What do you all think about Trundle as a support?

outside of annie bot... nothing they ever try to do works out well for them.

TouchpadExpert2 votesThat's not always the case. When the bots send Lux or Zyra top lane they usually keep the top laner in check until either a successful gank or the roaming phase. Or a disconnect.

All went smoothly in lane. won 2 outta 3 of them.

TouchpadExpert1 votesTrundle support does have some nice passive sustain and the pillar is a good setup for a gank. If the jungler never ganks early I don't see it working all that great.

Doctor Dyment1 votesWell, Trundle is more suited for a top lane position. Coupled with natural tankiness and sustain, he belongs by himself. Trundle is pretty much the King of Duelers, and should be treated as such. A single slow that you can walk out of rather quickly, at least to me, doesn't make him a support.
CrazedPorcupine1 votesConsidering Trundle's Kit, I'd think he'd be really good against the more tanky style supports like Braum and Leona. In 2v2 fights, he Ult's the enemy support, then Q's the enemy ADC, then starts walloping as much as he can. I'd think he'd be more a counter pick than a core support, but I'd say it's worth it.

Jungle Lux God1 votesI tried this in Season 4 due to me wanting to try something stupid in the botlane, and for some reason my team was fine with me trying it.
It didn't work out well, but that was probably because I wasn't playing it properly. I was playing it more like I was playing Trundle top, and you can't really do that in a duo lane and without getting any CS. I was maxing pillar first, but the rest of the time I was playing far too aggressively for a melee support with no gapclosers.
I should try this again.
