--As the tale goes, there is a champion that roams the low elo, in search of the plays, and the sweaty palms that so elegantly type our favorite love letter; /ALL "lol ez, not even trying!". A swordsman; Assassin? Fighter? Long beloved mage perhaps... But, as the nights turn dark, the dreaded win rates whisper into nightmares, and said sweaty palms troll the reddit posts crying.... Riot comes with sack in hand! and blesses them with the precious gifts they seek that one special time every year.

"BUFFS"! they shout with such glee "Do our eyes deceive us!.. Though perhaps not that magic dusted AP scaling they all lay down their blue pots for in ritual, but buffs still, and such thicc ones. And so forward into battle they go! First, an attack speed item, no!; Maybe even two if one dares! Like the virgin adventurer trolling that dim-lit club penguin on it's Friday night, and that fabled Life Steal sword, possibly the one spoken about in South Park: Episode Make Love, Not Wu-Ju, their time has then finally arrived. The virgin adventurer, lays down his quadrakill on the salty salty bed blessed by the enemy team, and knows the only way to finally get his Penta... Is to fill his last remaining slots with pure armour.... Thus, with his the palms once again sweaty, in his final climax he shouts; he roars back to his five fellow enemy players all typing /mute Virginboy69! "GG NOT EVEN TRYING NERDS"!!! and with that, it whispered again all throughout that night....

But then! as quick as it all came, it was taken away....... --

Or at least i'd damn well hope so. Assassins shouldn't be buying armour. If we have to go through this every year, just rework the champion for goodness sake. With the new Ad items coming soonish too it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

In their (not really new anymore) champion class and subclass system, Yi is a Skirmisher.

Skirmisher is a sub class used to define champions in a said play style whom normally would differ from each other. Yi however is still a Assassin, much as how Darius is still just a Fighter and graves is still just a Marksman. Don't be fooled by fancy fantasy sub-classing. The point of Yi still being an assassin carries the orginal core basis of his principle design philosophy; one of which that does not include the idea of building tank and still doing damage. In fact a skirmisher would go even more so against that ideal because they are with such design in mind, that; such as yi, has his W to fit the fantasy of a skirmisher style sub-class.
