40+ splash art changes. Everyone is complaining about 5.

I want to give everyone a test. I will list the 5 skins that everyone is crying about and after we have taken them out the equation, i want people to talk about the others and give REAL arguments about being against these other arts.

The fiora one is indeed bad, but so is our current Toxic Mundo one which on that topic is getting replaced by one that although better in quality, i agree it doesn't really 'look' like mundo either. Next we have Chogath and Morgana whom both are getting the same splash art but a loss in definition which are two more i can agree on. Then we have the Akali one which i find ironically is one which is going from more of a cutesy Chinese art style to a more serious style much our current Stinger Akali one(which is getting changed to a art style we're losing on the crimson one so i don't even fking know), though i also agree it lacks quality regardless. Lastly we have Karthus, whom is getting some very nice arts but depart from the seriousness of the champion and i understand that too, i get it.

However that all being said, i'm going to now list 12! Now i understand that as i mentioned before that the Chinese art style is a little 'Animeish and cutesy and that's a very fair point... Riot have given clear reasoning to why they're doing this and personally i feel the positives outweigh the negatives. So stop being so de-constructive and tell me what are wrong with the rest of these arts?

Ummm the Redridding Annie splash was changed awhile back to a Chinese Splash. Her original splash is this http://img1.leaguecraft.com/lol-splash-art/asset/wallpaper_760px_412.jpg so you cannot compair the changes to any of hers

same with heimer and teemo. and ori's doesnt even look anime. that leaves popstahri, which is based off anime/korea pop anyway lol.

Keep in mind that the Red Riding Annie, Alien Invader Heimerdinger and Badger Teemo splashes you posted here are Chinese and were part of an older splash updates batch.

There are far more than 5 skins people are complaining about. While some of them it might just be a matter of opinion, some of the other new ones are just objectively awful. Wicked Leblanc is ludicrously bad, as is Sun Goddess Karma. That's 7/40 (nearly 1/5) now that aren't just bad. They're absolutely terrible.

Among the other changes that people don't like are the multitude of doll-faced waifu/prostitutes we're getting. Safari-Hooker Caitlyn is a joke and MF looks like a porn star rather than an LoL champion. Janna's face (in both new splashes) is clichéd vacant-faced garbage and the models are juvenile, over-sexualized crap. Look at Hextech Janna's chest. Her boobs are bigger than her head.

Even when the artists DO avoid over-sexualizing, they can botch it in other ways. Exiled Morgana is an awkwardly-posing anorexic junkie. Unmasked Kayle has apparently never been outside. Good Job Rito!

Her boobs are almost as big as her head, her shorts are up to her gitch and she's wearing a belly-top because 'sexy'. I'm sure Safari Caitlyn isn't actually a prostitute though (I have it on good authority she's in law-enforcement), but I'm not really sure why so much of the Chinese art needs to be this juvenile, over-sexualized goofiness. This doesn't exactly portray the picture of a serious bad-ass woman. She's a gun-porn caricature.

The Raven Fiora and Toxic Mundo do need updates, but these just simply dont seem to fit the style of any other splashes. Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up to the community to decide.

The Cho'gath and Morgana ones do seem to be downgrades but they are close enough for me to not complain about.

I personally enjoy all of the new Karthus splashes, along all of the other good ones you showed. Another really great one is the Temple Jax, personally one of my favorite splasharts EVER.

All in all, i like that they (Riot) are taking a risk and trying to bring regions together, but they are tripping a little on their journey.

If they want to bring the regions together they could always give the Chinese the objectively superior NA skins instead of forcing the shitty Chinese ones on us. Even the Chinese "Sun Goddess Karma" wouldn't approve the Chinese Nightraven Fiora, and she's literally brain-dead judging by her new splash.

Apparently skulls are taboo in China, so they can't show a skull-faced character in a splash; this is also why they changed Karthus from "skeleton" to "severely dry skin" in the VU.

I meant the change where all they do is darken his skin so it seems mismatched with the rest of his splash. His current splash art's color is fine imo.
