Silver and Judgement Kayle - Was re-creating them (including splash art) worth it?

More a question to riot than anything else. Silver Kayle is tipped to be one of those skins that you may never see in your LIFE. Those who do have it most likely don't play, and those who do may not play Kayle. To me the skin and it's splash are amazing, probably the best of the entire bunch. But the question is; Why? and whats the worth?

As someone who currently owns every skin in the game that one can buy with money (so, none of the rare skins, only one of the gold skins), not only do i feel a little let down that in general, i cannot ever obtain and use these skins, but that they're not even forgotten. Riot could easily discontinue the skins and could of just reimbursed the player somehow, but they havn't. However, i'm reminded of Pax Sivir and Championship Riven. We have versions of these skins that distinguish themselves from their original counterpart, but still allow us to use the skins in some format. So why not Silver and Judgement Kayle? Even if you made them Gemstone only, atleast don't make all that effort go to waste, because i'd really love to see those two beautiful skins used, either by me or others.

It's safe to say that people who own those skins and still play are among the most loyal players Riot has. So even if they don't pull a Championship Riven and make slightly different versions for sale, it's still a nice "thank you for sticking with us so long".

As an owner of both Kayle skins, this is why they should never be re-released. I'm glad that you aren't allowed to just wallet down any agreement or EXCLUSIVE skin. The people who poured money into League 9 years ago is why we all get to enjoy the game today. We believed in League and helped build it before the majority believed in it.

More loading flair that is barely even visible? No thanks. Now this skin that no one gave a shit about for 9 years needs to made available for a fist full of blood soaked cash, and the bedrock supporters can get the dick for some shit pittance reimbursement? The skin was a limited exclusive for people who bought the Retail Collector's Edition. Keep these few relics vaulted, and don't give in to the whining and brat tantrums.

They updated all of her skins, so of course they were going to do those as well. It wouldn't feel right if they left them untouched.

Unfortunately, recently it was mentioned they'd probably never return since they were both season 1/season 0 skins and thus were part of their "Ultra Limited" kind of line that they were unlikely to have re-releases.

I don't know about re-releasing it. I own judgment Kayle and the literal only reason you would ever use that skin is to flex on your friends.

Yes, it was worth it; the players who do own the skins, however few, will be satisfied with the updates. As someone who has played mostly Kayle over the past several years and does not own the skins either, I think that it would be extremely unfair to players who, in the case of Silver Kayle, supported the company when they were on the come-up and, in the case of Judgment Kayle, have a piece of history from the fledgling days of the game. I'm willing to bet that the majority of those players would not be satisfied with getting a half-assed border while having their skin seriously devalued (not in the monetary sense) the way that Championship Riven owners did.

Furthermore, this really isn't about players seeing the skins in game; 99% of players don't really care about the skins other players use beyond perhaps the first sighting (and getting to see Silver or Judgment Kayle is more exciting than seeing commonly available skins, due to their rarity). This is about wanting the skins for oneself. Does it suck that many players weren't around back then and thus missed out? Yes. That doesn't mean that they should be brought back—that goes for a lot of things in life. The overwhelming majority of games with purchaseable cosmetics have permanent rares, so be thankful that League has incredibly few in comparison.

I never knew about league until a few seasons after the Judgment Kayle skin was released. Since then it has been one of the only skins I truly wanted out off every one so far. I understand both sides of the argument though. On one hand for those who play this champ a ton (and after the re-work there may be more) they would want to start investing more time into her and would love to have that skin to match their play thematics. On the other hand, it does showcase the commitment of some earlier players and is a bit of flair for them. I would LOVE to have the opportunity to get this skin, 100%. Though its up to RIOT to determine the availability for it.Kayle

Honestly I don't really care if they ever reimbursed the players who already own the skin. Less than 1% of players own those skins, and I would imagine that more than that want the skin, so just on cost benefit, allowing the players that don't have it to get it, even if it meant losing literally every player that owned the skin already, would be worth it. Not to mention that skins like that even existing means that account selling exists, which Riot is vehemently against.

Just a quick question: Will Unmasked Kayle aka Transcended Kayle be aviable for purchase when the rework comes out?
